if u ever work with Gov, u will know what is their rule in purchasing.
They must get a quotation from a registered local company with BUMI status. Normally the price from the quotation is higher than the market price as the company will markup the price. The one of the reasoning is that it's slow to get the $ from a local order. and there is some other reason.... *imagine urself* |

My friend's supervisor for his FYP/thesis at UTM, he bought 2 laptops cost RM10k++ but the spec only cost less then RM3k for teaching purpose....He earn RM7k wei....
If got 100 lecturer in UTM, everyone also want to buy laptop, RM7k * 2 * 100 = RM1.4 Millions  If every local uni in malaysia also buy laptop like this  |
