I asked Digi shop today about why my phone drop from 1.5Mbps to 384kbps on speedtest. They say the amount of users in area also important, because the connection is pooled -.-

Looks like if you want good speed, go look for place with few people using...

Penang only small area got 3G leh

i wonder how to make use of 3G internet.. so far my speed limit is capped to EGDE..

Have you inform them that you want to activate 3G?

i was wondering which part of klang valley area tht is confirm by u guys got 3g line one. i wan to go n test coz alto the coverage map show my area in bkt jalil is covered but i hav no 3g signal. i not sure now weather is it my problem or digi problem. im using nokia 5800.........

try calling them to activate 3G and see. not everyone get activated automatically

i activate mine manually

then later i got a msg saying,

"Pls be informed your INTERNET UNLIMITED 58 @58 permonth is activated n will take effect from 24/10/09 in accordance to your. Thank you-Digi CS"

I think that's unlimited internet and not 3G better call and try.... I'm not sure though.... no harm calling them right?

Added on October 26, 2009, 11:11 amDarkmage12: u were right. apparently. u need to explicitly tell them that you would want your 3g line to be activated. subscribing to the unlimited 3g plan isnt enough. which is kindda stupid... my guess is that the system require 2 diff activation done by the sc personnel and the sc ppl screw up sometimes when activating it...

i think a lot of ppl keep calling them for the 3G activation, the CS lazy to answer the call... i tried to call helpline since this morning and no one pick up the phone.

try go thru ocs....

haha cos I tried using ocs what and immediately I got to detect it. btw are you a chartist or investment analyst?

oh... i actually had to confirm again today to activate my 3g. then only abt half hour later i can detect. but the signal is increably unstable. when i online i keep rotating between 3.5g, 3g and edge/gprs..

im just a small forex trader.

Well I did check it.....those near the penang bridge only got 3G the rest like BM dun have at all

I had login to OCS, I saw the phone setup got Configure Internet， Configure WAP， Configure MMS， Configure MobileTV / D'podCast， Configure All DiGi Settings.
But don't have any 3G thingy...?
Even thou inside the Configure All DiGi Settings，the setting type is for WAP+MMS+Internet+MobileTV / D'podCast，I don't see any 3G...
Anyway I've done the Configure All DiGi Settings, but still no 3G icon appear in my phone.

I am lucky my phone auto detect the 3G, and now 2mbps speed I am getting..

there is no setting for 3g. when u phone detect 3g it will automatically select 3g over the 2g connection. there is no setting involve. when u connect thru the net use the "Internet" setting aka diginet
