Now doing a major renovation of an old house, I would like to gather some of the experienced folks around here to give an idea how much would a kitchen cabinet like this would cost ? I am not exactly trying to compare prices etc.. so perhaps some renovator around at Klang Valley would like to give a go at the rough price and whether it can be done economically. Or something that look like the beautiful Ikea Faktum series with Plain wood doors: Any idea would be very much appreciated. _________________________ Reno blog: House Transformation Blog Added on October 21, 2009, 6:13 pmI have to admit that the Ikea series will be more fitting to my taste, as it look more economical to adopt without losing its Mediterranean styling. Maryjane, thanks for your input. I do understand that it can cost a bomb if I were to source for reputable cabinet maker. But I do believe that it can be done with discount if we source outside.

Hmm... do you think it will start looking dirty since it's white and people are always opening and closing the doors? This post has been edited by wodenus: Oct 23 2009, 08:59 PM

It will be dirty easily, esp in the area like kitchen. So even with original design, I was thinking of maintaining the wood facia. Even the Mediterranean design can be wood also. Together with Black handle. ____________________ My house interior blog site Old house transformed

I won't recommend you to use 2K paint cause its very hard to maintain somemore the cost is even higher than Membrane Press. Hereby i share few photos of kitchen cabinet which made by Membrane Press (matt). It is what you looking for?

Hi, white is not really recommanded as chinese always love to stir fried...it's very oily & smoky. and white always turn yellow faster then others? i would recommand to use some texture wood in grey or white scale which helps to maintain. beside, to get an ID to are still a best idea where you gave them your budget and they can propose you some option

Thank you for all your opinion.
Membrane press is surely an option for me. If I were to resort to genuine timber perhaps original wood texture can be maintain too.
Bluedolphine83 your kitchen look good indeed. Does membrane press provide genuine looking wood pattern as well?
