i'm one of those who look out for release in Amazon...and i can share with you the experience...

first, although it appears to be cheap purchasing BD from Amazon, there are other hidden costs.

first would be the delivery charge from Amazon to a US address. some comes with free delivery but not always the case.

then there will be there delivery charge from US to Malaysia. So, at the end of the day, BD is not 'cheap' anymore...its actually become more expensive...BUT...cheaper than buying from local stores.

the LYN sellers here sells the BD cheap...and to me, its better getting it from the sellers here as you dun hv to worry about tax & waiting time...contact the seller, meet up for COD, drive home & can start to enjoy...

of course, the down side is not all titles you want is available by these sellers...although there are still sellers who can help you buy titles you want from Amazon or 3rd party sellers.

fyi, i just received a package from US today from my cousin...4 BD & 4 interconnects...i think total weight is about 2.5kg or so...delivery charge is RM160 or USD48 inclusive insurance. it took about 5 days from the day my cousin send the pack to local US Postage & for it to arrive at my office door.

if divided equally, delivery for each item costs about RM20...the BD might be RM60-RM70...so in total, you're paying like RM100 or RM110 for each BD..

better buy from LYN sellers...

as for the taxes by m'sian ketam...actually if you're not buying on a per truck basis...i think it should be able to slip pass them....anything up to like 10disc should be ok still...

Thanks for the feedback guys, but wudnt it be cheaper than getting it locally??

I'm actually looking at Klipsch Quintet SL set, which i'm not sure where to find locally (also its no more in production) cry.gif , so i thought of opting for Amazon or Vanns.

daryl...what are other ways to go bout it....mind sharing icon_question.gif
