Speaking test is just a part of MUET unless you did badly in all of the sub set of MUET then the possibility of you need to retake the examination is high.

Regards, Joey

If you are not good in speaking nobody can help you. Language is something either u are good or bad and it takes time to develop.

If you do bad this time, you can retake next year. In my year alot ppl do that just to try their luck get nicer grade even though they hanve band 4 or 5

I disagree.... not ur view... bt the way presenting ur "advice"... ppl taking speaking paper 2mr and i think u nit to provide relevant advice...
Ppl want to re-do their muet bcuz they are not satisfy when lots ppl score higher than him/her....

For u... speaking is not reli hard... b confidence... individual task... speak as confidence as u can... if probably, eye contact... ppl told me b4 they sked dun have point to answer... but the way examiner evaluate u is act ur speaking way... talk slower if u dun have enough point... at least u make lesser mistake... IF U TALK, im sure u will get some marks... good luck.... never make decision that u cant until the result release...

I did horribly for my speaking test because I was sooooo nervous! But other sections managed pull my scores up! smile.gif In the end, I managed to score higher (overall) than people who did far better than me in speaking! Don't worry too much! Concentrate on listening, writing, and reading!

Nothing wrong with retaking it. You'll learn from your mistakes and go in more well prepared next time.

The exam already pass , you should get ready for the next exam
About retake or not ... you should wait until the result come out only decide
I improve my speaking by mimic game's character speech , and self - murmur in English
Ah well , 2 marks to band 4 .. my MUET

Excuse me, may I know whether are you a Malay? If you are, then you shouldn't be so sad. This problem is very common among your race, your race advocates BM and BM rules the nation. What do you expect when you attempt to speak English? Failure of course. So start telling your race to use English while studying maths or science. Blame your race for your incompetence, blame your race for making you to take MUET again. Its expected ^^

This might turn into a racial thread. You shouldnt mentioned that in the first place

mate. But whatever it is, i must state that even chinese and indians couldnt score a

higher band. And i have seen few who have obtained lower bands, like band 2 or 3.

Speaking is just a part from the examination. There are still writing, listening and reading. Try to score the remaining paper. Maybe at least band 4 is available to you.

I'm also taking MUET exam this year. At the speaking test before, only me and other one candidate who done the talking at the grouping discussion. The remaining 2 just silence and didn't wanna talk. We've give them chance to talk and they blew it. Just remain silence. So me and the other one candidate back it up...

My apology for sounding too racist. But how can he expect himself to pass when he uses words like "terabur" while conveying his doubts and worries. This already reflects his competency in other languages.

i think all the racial things should not came out. everybody is not perfect and i think TS just want somebody to tell him what will happen if he/she fail the test.

i'm a malay also. and i'm sure my english is not that good also. but the most important things when having a conversation with someone else is whether they understand your message or not. the problem with us malays is we tend to use long sentence. keep your sentence short and simple. dont try to make your snetence 'berbunga-bunga' because it will bring nothing if people cannot understand you.

finally, don't be shy to start talking in english..maybe at start, it will definitely be MANGLISH hehe
