Thinking of getting a subaru impreza somewhere between year 2006-2009 model and to be specific GDB type ( not the bug eyed ones).

a friend of mine runs a shop that mentaines JDM and he told me the block isnt that strong since the 1998 GC8's.

But ultimatly i am concern of the following;
1) Fuel consumption - most people i speak to says subaru's has the shittiest consumption. I am wondering by how much or anyone with right experience care to share? i know it depens on your right foot but trying to get some kind of baseline of KMs per tank.

2) spare parts - is it relatively easy to get parts available?

3) overall experience in owning one?
