I prefer new crz, no headache of an improperly maintained used car. QUOTE(AveoHzq @ Oct 18 2013, 09:50 PM) If i bring the car to a workshop to do full inspection on the engine etc, would that be better? Atleast better than myself inspecting it with my naked eye. The car dealer is giving only a month warranty and offering a Honda insurance package at around RM 1800. Im not comfortable with the 1 month warranty considering its a recon. Bro zenix, which car would you choose? A recond 2008 FN2R or a new 2013 CRZ?

Exora bold cfe standard about rm69,000. Value for money. Sufficient power. Good handling (for an mpv) If you can stretch the budget further, go for exora bold premium. But the best at this moment in terms of comfort for family v price goes to Nissan Serena Hybrid but way out of your budget. But u wont regret purchasing this. Trust me! QUOTE(plumberly @ Nov 14 2013, 02:04 PM) 1. Brand : Any 2. Budget : 70K 3. New/Used/Unreg : new 4. Specs : 5. Transmission : man or auto 6. NA or FI : 7. Type : 7 seaters 8. Remarks : For those using a MPV, appreciate your feedback (2 good things and 2 bad things you find on your MPV). Many thanks. Planning to get rid of my old Wira. Need a bigger car for my family of 5.

Dont waste your money buying avanza. Suspension too hard. Bad handling. Too small for an mpv. Go and test drive exora bold cfe and compare it with avanza, you'll know what I mean. QUOTE(plumberly @ Nov 14 2013, 04:47 PM) Thanks. Please let me know what are the important things I will be missing out with Avanza instead of Exora. DVD player etc? I am not into cars. Many thanks.

Very comfortable (even the third row is comfortable with good leg room, your children will love it), powered sliding door, flexible seat especially the multi purpose centre seat/table, vdc, abs, fully imported cbu from japan. Price is cheap for the specification. *But in terms of handling, exora is better. Perhaps becoz exora suspension is stiff. QUOTE(plumberly @ Nov 14 2013, 05:57 PM) Many thanks. Will definitely look into Exora std and premium. Out of interest, what is the price for Serena Hybrid, >100K? 2 best things on this car? Thanks.

And even our expert here, zenix, recommended this nissan serena hybrid. But Exora is also a good choice. Value for money and good enough for the purpose you told. Moreover, handling of exora is better than serena. QUOTE(zenix @ Nov 14 2013, 05:57 PM) Since time is running out I think I should recommend you to take the Nissan Serena S-Hybrid now rather than later because in 2014 the tax free status for hybrid cars will be lifted so this spacious MPV price is going to bloat from 145k to 200k. What's so great about it? Well, Estima like space but since it is not a recon you get full 3 years warranty plus an option to purchase another 2 years warranty for a few thousand bucks. The Hybrid status in the Serena is really a gimmick and I'm surprised they actually got it to qualify as a Hybrid car in the first place unlike Toyota and Honda in which the Hybrid system is part of the car's road performance (Honda case -- the electric engine kicks in to help the petrol engine for additional power like overtaking), (Toyota case -- the electric engine is used 100% if you're driving like an uncle but when you go faster than 40kmh the petrol engine kicks in), (Nissan case -- when you on the car and drive around the hybrid battery starts charging and once it is ready it kicks-in and turns off the petrol engine when the car is idling or stationary like traffic jam, waiting at MCD drivethru or roadside next to your gf house waiting for her to get ready to go out.) So if the S-Hybrid systems kongs out later even if you don't fix it, I don't see any real issues with the carĀ QUOTE(plumberly @ Nov 14 2013, 05:57 PM) Many thanks. Will definitely look into Exora std and premium. Out of interest, what is the price for Serena Hybrid, >100K? 2 best things on this car? Thanks.
