1. Brand : Any 2. Budget : 15k for 2nd hand car, 1st hand car should be able to fork out 500-600 per month 4. Specs : Standard spec 5. Transmission : manual 6. NA or FI : NA 7. Type : 4 seater 8. Remarks : Student looking for a car, doesnt really need luggage space, but it doesnt mean i only conside those hatchback cars. Prefer fuel efficient car, doesnt really need for speed.
Currently considering kelisa for used car, but the price is over 20k mostly and i am not really confident in 2nd hand car, but will listen to any advice on this matter. For 1st hand, i am considering viva or saga blm. By the way, can i know what is the currently interest rate? Roughly la.. don need accurate. Thanks!

QUOTE(travis_ckf @ Dec 23 2009, 09:18 PM) Of coz u need to sign ur loan agreement ASAP before u get ur car. Without ur loan application signature and ur downpayment there is no way u gonna get ur car. 15k wont get u much good used cars unless if u dont mind opting for used old saga, iswara or wira. Seeing u willing to fork 500-600 per month and for say 5-7 years loan u can opt for a new saga or viva. U looking for fuel efficiency hence the new viva is feasible choice here. Btw for that price of a new viva why not go for a used kelisa? U can get for 20-30k, cheaper than the viva and economical as well. How about proton savvy? Btw, is it all savvy is AMT gearbox? I've heard about positive feedback on savvy FC and sturdiness. I dont really think it is real ugly anyway.

QUOTE(travis_ckf @ Dec 27 2009, 08:10 PM) With that salary, honestly get a used kelisa or kancil. New car is seriously not recommended. Or best avoid getting a car for the time being until u earn till 1.8k. Man i will pick the swift as the swift is anytime better than the myvi. U looking for a long term car so both these cars will do fine although myvi parts availability is much better. Savvy comes in both manual or AMT. Savvy FC is one of the best of its class but if possible, get the manual. The AMT is kinda odd here so i might worry u get into trouble if there any problems on the AMT. I've heard about AMT scary problem becos if the transmission system broke down, it needs 15k to repair after warranty.... Is there any other problem for savvy(MT)? What would you recommend if compare a kelisa and a savvy? Both MT la, becos the 2nd hand price is both the same. Or a viva 850 manual? Quite a few choices around the price of 20k-25k for a 2nd hand, was hoping to get a 2nd hand car that can let me drive for another 9 or 10years probably. QUOTE(travis_ckf @ Dec 28 2009, 01:08 PM) I would rather go for the kelisa if i wanna play safe and know eventually i will sell that car for an upgrade, as sorry to say the savvy resale value is going to be poorer than the kelisa. I gonna loan the used car, so i will be sticking with 1 car probably until i can afford bigger car or the car is over the installment period. I am not really fond with kelisa big head light >< I just wanna ask, is savvy MT maintenance high? Becos i would probably fork out 300-400 per month for a used car, i think a used myvi, saga blm, savvy kelisa, viva is in my range. BUt then, i dont know which would suit me. My hometown i have a myvi auto and the fuel consumption is not really satisfying, if auto and manual doesnt have much difference in FC, i would go for auto becos of city driving. Sorry i am a newbie in car, especially buying car to drive in KL or west msia, my hometown is at sarawak, where traffic congestion is minimal.

QUOTE(alwjmonster @ Oct 12 2011, 04:37 PM) the maximun car price for u is below RM25,000 car.. car like toyota seg, honda civic eg, proton wira SE aeroback might suit your budget.. u mean to take loan or buyout price in lump sump? I tot 2nd hand car have higher loan interest? I am not thinking of paying in a lump sum, prefer taking loan, but i am not really interested in 2nd hand old car.. in my mind i am looking on myvi 1.5 se, saga flx, persona, or any 2nd hand vios/city would be ok?
