So must be non-local?
If you love cars and don't mind to go through a rut of fixing/repairing/restoring an old car then getting those 1990's cars is a good learning for you.
If you have a hectic job and need a reliable car and can't spend too much time at workshops then get a new car like Viva/Myvi.
Well by hook or by crook the GE has to be over with by June/July this year.
Starving off your purchase until at least then is a good idea.
Don't think much about the promises of politicians end of the day it is us consumers whom will suffer in some way, e.g. car less tax but fuel prices go up.
Its best to see how it pans out at least if the scenario of car cheaper but fuel prices goes up you can still change your purchase to a hybrid or skyactiv.
But if you buy now you can bend and flex to the happenings after GE13.
If i am not mistaken the FLX models uses a CVT gearbox.
There could be a slight chance that the gearbox has issues (or some other major part) if the owner is selling it after only owning it for 2 years.
CVT uses difference gear oil than regular automatic so if they put in the wrong oil it will damage the gearbox.
SC cost for gearboxes are normally RM15-20k, chopshops around RM2-7k depending on type (manual, auto, cvt) though i don't think chop shops have many cvt gearboxes around since this model is new, if got also rare which means price wise not cheap.
Would you consider a manual saga?
