Hye guys. Need help here.

I want to upgrade my car, these are the characteristics.
1. Brand: prefer japanese cars (honda toyota nissan)
2. Budget: <50k
3. New/Used/Unreg: New or Used (5 years max)
4. Specs: hgher is better? Prefer >1.5cc
5. Transmission: Auto
6. NA or FI: Any
7. Type: Hybrid / Any (prefer sedan)

Note: I have a wife and I'm about to be a dad within these few weeks. Currently driving a honda city 1.3 EFI 96. Live in perak, City driving and travel a few times to kelantan every month (through gerik). Sometimes to kl.
I wish for good safety features, have good FC, Good space, low maintenance, plan to change after 5 years. NVH must be good because that's 1 of the main reasons I want to get a new car. ABS is a must.

Hi guys, need help here.

I bought a second hand car in the year 2009.

Honda City SX8 EFi 1.3 year 1996 (AT)
No major problem, just very little hiccups here and there.

I really love the fuel consumption.
With RM80 (full tank) I can get about 450km-550km depending on where I drive.

Space wise is also nice, the stability at corners, Not really bumpy even at the back, etc

But the thing is, it's an old car (approaching 17 years),
I'm just afraid that it may have major problems not long from now.
And also, I often have problems climbing uphill even when I'm driving alone (Balik kampung through Gerik).
Usually the speed limits at 60km/h going uphill.

Is it wise to change my car?
Or is it wiser to wait until it breaks down and only then I get a new/used car?
FYI I have a wife and a baby, you'll understand why this bothers me.
