Hello all,

I'm looking for a new laptop to replace my current one. My budget is around 3k-4.5k... I plan to use it for Uni work, movies and some gaming (not crysis level type but quite current games like Red Alert 3, Call of Duty, L4D... and hopefully a laptop that can support that kind of games in 3-4 years time).

I saw my friend's Dell Studio and wanted that laptop straight away. So I am now considering between Dell Studio 15, or Studio XPS 16. I'm interested laptops with what I believe the latest processor (Intel® Core™ i5 or i7) as I really hate laptops that slows down while multitasking.

Has anyone here bought Studio XPS? What is it like? I've heard issues regarding the heat it generates, is it true?

Also, if anyone can suggest other brands that has similar specs with those Studio 15 and XPS 16 - that would be great!

So if I'm not comfortable with the heat (as I dont like having to bring laptop cooler ard), it is better for me to get Studio 15 with i5 processor? Does Studio laptop have heat issues?

hey guys, just wondering what are the laptops that have backlit keyboard? i know Dell studio has it, what other laptops in the market has it too?
