Need recommendation, guys.

Purpose: Photo processing. Photoshop. Gaming.
Budget: Around RM3K. But don't go too far away.
Priority (Most Important > Less Important): Processing Speed > LCD colour accuracy (Size doesn't matter) > Battery Life > Storage > Gaming graphics

Considering (Recommend me similar ones, if there is! smile.gif ) :
- Dell Studio 14 (2.26GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 4Gb 1066MHz Ram, Radeon HD 4530, HD 720p WLED Display, 6 cell 56WHr / 5200 MAh batt)
- Acer Aspire Timeline 4810TG (Centrino 2 Proc 1.4Ghz, 800MHz FSB, 2Gb Ram, Radeon HD 4330, CineCrystal LED-backlit TFT LCD, 6 cell 5600MAh batt)
- Asus UL80VT (1.3GHz C2D Proc, 4Gb Ram, Nvidia G210M, Widescreen HD LED LCD Display, 12 hours battery life)

Questions:
(1) I got the genuine Windows 7 Professional Edition already. Got NON-OS from these companies? Last time when I bought my Acer, there is.
(2) Heard that Dell batteries can only last for a year? [Here]
(3) G210M got so keng meh? Can play what kind of games ar? Resident Evil 5, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?

You can get Asus UL80Vt for RM2699 Freedos
-Core 2 Duo SU7300 1.3GHz(Overclockable 33% to 1.73GHz with Asus Turbo33 Technology)
-2GB DDR3 1066MHz Ram
-Nvidia GeForce G210M 512MB DDR3 Hybrid Graphics with Intel 4500MHD
-320GB 5400rpm hdd
-14"
-Claimed up to 12hours battery life. (Reviews shows 8 hours+ for WiFi surfing on power saver)

Look at this review for the Asus UL80Vt http://www.expertlaptopreview.com/?p=10
Gaming seems very good for a CULV notebook. This specs better than Acer 4810TG biggrin.gif
Can overclock the processor some more 1.3GHz>1.73GHz really amazing biggrin.gif

But the processor not as good as Dell's. No?

Check this out... Few days ago I saw someone selling it for RM2.5K but I'm not sure whether that's new set.

Without bundled OS ? Is FreeDos what you mean ?

Btw, does the processor's FSB effects a lot?

Am comparing 800MHz FSB with 1066MHz FSB, and also DDR2 with 1066MHz DDR3 Ram.

Having hardtime in choosing the between two similar models.

I got the genuine Pro Edition ady.

Am thinking to sell it off at Garage Sales.

If Dell allowed me to buy Non-Os / free Dos, then problem settled larh. laugh.gif

How much it be sold btw?

Guys, Rm199 for a Targus Synergy Backpack 15.6" + Targus Optical Stow-N-Go laptop Mouse + Targus Traveller's Choice Ultra Compact Speakers.

Worth it ar?

These 3 things, I think I can live with cap ayam ones.
If cap ayam's price about the same, will be getting this then.

ADDON:

well, probably Dell have some agreement with MS... it's not uncommon in the world of IT... juz look at wat Intel did (*AHEM*) and u know...

i would go for Office...
1) McAfee is crap
2) there are free and good AV waiting to be downloaded...
*
- What INTEL did?
- Good AV refering to Avira?

Finally came out with last two choices. Both Dell. Don't dare go for BenQ S42, as I'm uncertain with their LCD quality. Dell gives me more confidence, I guess. Lots photog friends of mine using Dell. But it's External LCD monitor. sweat.gif

Package D2 sounds better to me. But it's Rm118 more expensive. Rm118 for the extra 1Gb Ram, better shell, longer McAfee usage period. Downside is no Office2007. But I got the brows.gif edition already.

Any comments? hmm.gif

what we mean is throw it aways after u get the system .. McAfee is a resource hunger app.. its very bad for a paid security suite.. I'd recommend ESS4, NIS2010 and KIS2010 over it for paid security suite..

Means it uses lots CPU Usage? or in layman terms, veli 'eat Ram' arh? laugh.gif

Guys, I'm choosing between Dell Studio 15 and BenQ S57.

Similarities:
Same proc (p8700), Same RAM (4gb), Same Hdd (320Gb), Same 15.6"

Difference:
Dell Radeon 4570, BenQ Radeon 4650
Dell forces people to buy their stupid OS, BenQ gives Linux, which means I can install my own Ws7: Pro Edition
Dell has the custome casing which looked nicer, BenQ looks a bit normal
Dell can still customize more. Eg: 1080p Full HD Lcd, Backlit Keyboard, 7200rpm Hdd etc while BenQ can't do further changing

I would like to go for BenQ, but I do not have any friends using BenQ laptop. There was one using it, but he changed to Dell and praised Dell a lot. And I remember seeing him format his BenQ quite a lot of time lerh. To me, I think Dell's laptop are somehow better than BenQ. But, I can be wrong de marh. sweat.gif

Dell after customization is around Rm3500, with that stupid Ws7: Home Premium.
BenQ is selling for Rm3199 at LYN's StarTec price list.

Mind gimme advise? icon_question.gif
