Looks like the most recommended notebooks here are benQ s42, Toshiba L510, Lenovo G450 and Asus k40AB. hmm.gif

What about Asus UL80VT? In terms of performance, does it perform better than 13z/14z?

UL80Vt now already got
UL80Jt still unknown.
well, I mean patient is in term of performance... since this is culv notebook, its designed more into long battery life rather than performance...
there's lenovo y550 as alternative~

Hey Lee,

May I know how much is a y550 in the market now? Thinking to upgrade my compaq c700 T2350 to a higher performance notebook but not interested in gaming now.

Do you refer to L510 or L501? To me, the design of L510 is very boring.

You can consider the Lenovo SL400 or 410. Below RM2k w/o OS.

What kind of spec should I be looking at? I am actually thinking of Lenovo T400/T500 as well. What price should I expect in M'sia? They were on sale at $899 in Australia but the promotion has ended.
