I might get my saga soon, some doubt to ask saga owner.

1. older car odometer usually has two reading, one is total KM and another one is KM/trip which can be reset every time pump oil. From what I see from the screenshot online http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_dBa1eLzHOSY/SqPF...-h/DSC01015.JPG , I only see one meter reading, which is probably the total KM, so how do we read KM/trip, need to deduct the KM everytime pump oil, or got any switch to see the KM/trip reading?

2. I currently driving 1997 wira 1.3cc, driving speed average ard 50-70km/hr daily, FC is around RM55 for 320KM, will saga manual FC better than this or worst?

Hopefully can get answer here smile.gif

1. Did you saw the dial between the RPM meter and speedometer? press to alternate between trip meter and mileage meter, after refuel, hold for few seconds will reset the trip meter. There just didn't show both at the same time only. nod.gif

2. Depends on traffic condition and ur right foot. If there is no stop-go traffic jam and can cruising at 50-70 constant speed, then Saga manual is a fuel saver...at >60km/h actually could change to 5th gear and the engine RPM will only around 2000(given that no load in car, only driver alone), then FC will be very good. Mine Saga manual can achieved RM0.13/KM (RON95), which is RM55 for 420KM for daily working @ 70-90km/h and 30% stop-go.

Can switch the meter reading la, this is what I think also. Confused by that blog owner because he said he keep deducting the km after pump oil, haha sweat.gif

wow, your FC is good, as long as it can has my wira FC I already very happy, cos I heard my aunt said her saga auto (1st batch) full tank only can drive for 194km, that's too terrible, but I'm not sure how she count the FC.

She also mention that the saga can't start at one morning and the SC said it's related to the petrol problem. Yesterday I asked SA bout this and he told me that changing petrol between RON95 and 97 will cost the engine can't start, is this true?

From the Saga Spec at 1st page, can see that outside door handle for B line is Body color. Isn't the door handle for B line is black color?

Seems like Saga is lack of stock now, SA promise to get me grey color for this week, but told me out of stock just now, only left black color which I not prefer ohmy.gif
I'm asking for silver color now, see got stock or not.

Got my MT B line for 1st week, mileage is around 290km. Fuel indicator blinking now.
FC is RM61 for 270km rclxub.gif I keep rpm below 3k, normally 2k. Will FC improve a lot after 1st service?

By the way, already heard some sound from the rear seat/door, not sure which part, just like something loose and vibrating. It's not loud but annoying. vmad.gif
And I never know the silver part of the steering so easily scratched! mad.gif

How is ur traffic condition? Mine MT B-line also, RM50 never less than 350KM even before 1st service, 40% traffic jam.

Try to maintain shifting point around 2.5k, 2k is too low, unless u are downhill. If u shift at low RPM, just press ur throttle gradually, not big step, if not it will make the FC worst even the car RPM is low.

For the rear seat/door, try to look at the plastic triangle at the door, see whether it is loose naturally, if yes, you can take out and add some sponge.

And yes the silver part of the steering is just a plastic with spray, of cos scratched easily.

Traffic condition is nearly 100% city drive. Hopefully can get better FC next time.

Where to find the plastic triangle, need to open the door panel?

first fc normally bad..dont worry. it'll gradually improve...mine RM 50 best also get 330 KM only..btu that's cos I speed till 120-140km per hour on highway normally on the way to work  whistling.gif
*
Just pump it till full for RM51, and 1st bar already dropped when 32.7KM rclxub.gif Why seems like FC more lausy than AT, haiz.

Normally is it 1st bar tahan the longest KM? If it is, then my FC really sucks!

Hi all, just want to know how much you guys pump for full tank? I try to pump yesterday after the petrol light blinking and its RM49++ (R95)

My friend say impossible the tank so small? sweat.gif
Also, my FC seems to be very high, RM40 / 250KM
*
My 1st full tank only drive for 278KM then blink and I pump in RM51.
2nd full tank drive for 305KM, then blink and I pump full tank RM50 for ron95.

From my observation for 2nd tank,

1st bar = 33KM
2nd bar= 45KM
3rd bar= 67KM
4th bar= 70KM
5th bar= 60KM
6th bar till blink= 30KM

Not sure why 1st bar KM much more less than others bars.
2nd tank seems a bit better than 1st tank, hopefully will getting better.
I'm MT and full city driving by the way. Mileage is around 600+KM now.

During 1st service, is MT Gear Oil change? SA told me it's compulsory and it cost ard RM98 for 3 bottles.

My 1st service seems like damn expensive, Petronas engine oil 15w50(RM90++)+oil filter+gasket+ MT gear oil + xr1 engine & petrol treatment (RM70++), total is ard RM269 after daring card discount!

i think the oil treatment is not that necessary, but just give it a try. So it means 1st service for MT at least need around RM200?

I know, even I didn't buy the oil treatment, it still cost ard RM200. I ask tat lady for few times is it necessary to change MT oil, she insists its compulsory for 1st service and no need change for 2nd service. And she said auto one no need change. I wonder why auto one no need change auto gear oil while MT need to change on 1st service.

What can I do, if I didn't change, later if got problem, they will said I didn't follow their instruction. By the way, it's Proton Service Centre, not authorized service centre from outside.

not to say kena tipu.MT oil has to be change either at 2nd or 3rd service.maybe they bring forward.X1R is not needed at all.new cars do not really need those. also, u have to blame urself for not having a self-study before going for a service.if u go certain preparation, u wont get conned that easily in a service centre.my suggestion:change SC, current SC will treat u as a waterfish and con u next time as well.
*
I didn't say I got conned for the X1R, I know its not necessary. Just doubt the need of change for MT gear oil, they say no need change for 2nd service, so maybe different SC change the MT oil at different service. hmm.gif

Mine change MT gear oil as well...but only RM65...total RM179 for 1st service...
RM65 only? How many bottles? I saw they pour in 3 bottles, so one bottle is ard RM30+?
