Today just went for 1000km first service.
Labour fee is free. But has to pay for other materials such as lubricant.

First time and that fella show me 3 packages in powerpoint (So organized kot) for the 1000km service.
If multi-grate, around RM80+
If semi sync, around RM 118
If full sync, around RM230.

The workshop guy never told me the differences and let me choose. This is really setting up trap as the next service will be the next 5000km, of course wont take full sync. He purposely made this coz see me a female , arghh ~~~~

Anyway, I chose the semi sync.

Shell Helix Semi Sync - RM99
Gasket, oil drain - RM2.52
Oil Filter - Free for first time (with voucher)
Screenwash 300ml - Rm5.20
Total i paid them Rm106.70.

I saw some other power point slides, the 10k km above maintenance fees is at least Rm70 up to RM150. My friend said it's expensive ~_~

I have asked them if i can bring my own engine oil next time but the guy said no. Gave me non sense reason (of course talked sweetly) that if bring ours, then the warranty would void bla bla bla. Also, he claimed they used the engine oil that allowed by proton. ~_~ I decided after the first 3 service, i'd go for the other workshop that allow me to bring engine oil (if buying from outside is cheaper than the quote RM99)

The dissapointing part is that the workshop only changed engine oil and never really inspect the car according to the proton schedule in the service book.

Hope to hear more experience and cost about car serving from u guys.

Oh yeah, does anyone of you get the car inspect for the rustyproof in the first 1000-1500 km? As i saw the warranty clause mentions that if never inspect in first 1000 - 1500km and subsequentl 10,000km, then the rustyproof 5 years warranty is null.

btw cleoleeps, which SC u went for ur 1k service? doh.gif
*
Went to the the one in Batu 9, Sin Shiang Hin. They claimed they have branches nation wide and got stocks available. He even showed me the stock in the storeroom. I saw like about at most 10 quantity for each item only lolz

multi-grade Rm60+
Semi sync RM99
Full Sync Rm209

All the lubricant above are weight 40 (W40) Aren't these expensive ~~

Does anyone of you go for the rustyproof checking in the first 1000-1500km ? Coz the service booklet said warranty will be null if didn't do it and the subsequent 10k km too ~

guys,

just want to ask... for 1k service what usually they will change? others than engine oil n oil filter of course..
*
From my experience in last few weeks, seem just engine oil and oil filter sad.gif a bit upset coz not really follow the service booklet one. U check the booklet, it has a schedule and what will be changed/fixed/inspected...

btw, i change to semi sync oil at RM99 (shell helix, weight 40)

Hi all, just want to know how much you guys pump for full tank? I try to pump yesterday after the petrol light blinking and its RM49++ (R95)

My friend say impossible the tank so small? sweat.gif
Also, my FC seems to be very high, RM40 / 250KM
*
Have been driving my BLM 1.3 AT for about a month dee and just paid the first monthly repayment cry.gif

The data sheet says the fuel tank is for 40L.
But everytime when blinks, i'll replenish again either right away or after 40km+ of driving. I normally pay for RM57 for about 31 litre...

Usually the consumption is 0.16 cents per km.

This time, after few weeks of 1k km service, i refuel petrol again and found the FC only 0.15 cents per km. Seems like getting better.

Btw, normal drive from home to office, on the way has high way + traffic jam...

I think this is not bad for auto car ~ wink.gif

A colleague of mine is still hesitating to get myvi, or saga, or alza. Seeked my opinion pulak. Asked me saga got anything wrong, well, so far so good.

But yesterday suddenly off engine 5 secs later when i started the engine and turned out from the car park. I was at D then turned to R to reverse...
really no idea why suddenly off engine. Twisted the key multiple times but not sound at all. So i totally twisted the key from zero to totally start state again.

After that, during the drive home, my CD was playing songs, suddenly switched to Tuner. So weird!

Never miss shift. How on earth shifting around D, N , R, P would cause off engine?
No i swear there was no sound and no matter how i turned the car key to ignite the engine, still no luck~

Alcohol? hahhahaa i am not DUI ~ (driving under influence)

My goodness! My dad told me that engine how come has "dak dak dak" sound then only i realized it!! i still got 3k more to reach 2nd time service. What can i do?

Also, my friend told me the front door for passenger side on the left, the lock seems a bit weird coz not easier to open the door. Do you happen to experience this? I didn't know about it until 2 months of getting the car. Just got a chance no need to drive but letting others to try it out.

Very weird, many suffer the same problems for the front left door, mine door as well, abit hard to open compare other doors.

The dak dak dak sound is heard inside the car or outside? if from inside, then you should let the SC to check the IAFM, maybe spoil adi.
*
About the door, did you get SC to fix it or they have no clue at all?

er..the dak dak dak sound...the car door was opened by the time i heard the sound, i didn't close the door. I'll try again tomorrow with closing door.
So if i couldn't hear anything when inside the car ler? Anyway, this dak dak noise reminds me of my 26 years old toyota car. ~_~

abit hard but acceptable for me, because my friend open the door by wrong way...so i don't bother to fix it.
if couldn't hear then nvm one la...yes, the engine sound hear from outside got some old school feel, something like diesel engine, i think is normal, as long as ur FC is still normal then no need to worry about the IAFM.
*
I open the door in a correct way and it's fine for all door except the front left door feel something weird.
Btw, I found my fuel first bar can't even last until 50km which usually it did. Yesterday, it changed to 2nd bar when reached 39km !

my sister bought this car (automatic) in 2008.
i dont really like to drive it..
when braking, i really need to press hard and there'll be 'krekk krekk' sound when i want to release the brake..
the gear transmission is not smooth.. especially when i wanna 1st move the car from stationary.
maybe it's just my sister's car.. huhu
went to service center, told them the problem..
but the probs still occur..
*
Well i'm driving just fine with my car and does not have the problem like you said though. You really have to give pressure to your SC dee or directly report to Proton HQ tongue.gif

QUOTE(erictioh @ Jan 7 2010, 09:40 AM)
I never service my car at any SC for near 5 months edi, all i did was purchase oil and change at normal workshop which is alot more cheaper than servicing at SC.

Now the engine got chit chit sound when air cond compressor run, do you think proton will inspect and change for me? coz it's still under warranty. Any1 has this problem? is it because of the compressor belt?

Added on January 7, 2010, 9:42 am
haha beware and not to break the handle coz it's quite fragile. Actually you can adjust the door bracket (the silver metal that hold your door) so that it can be loose abit.
*
How come so stubborn never let authorised SC to do service. Your warranty will void if never sent to authorised SC within the year of warranty. If anything happen, you gonna shoulder the blame. For me, 5 years warranty and i have to send to their SC these 5 years though i know their oil is expensive and my dad certainly can change for me, but some of our friends here mentioned some SC allows to bring engine oil.

i got my car on 3rd Nov 2009 last year. After 3 months of driving and now about 5k mileague, now today i found out that my front seat left window cannot work anymore. I pressed button on both side of the doors but to no avail.

Sigh, i know parts are free when still in warranty, but i am not happy to be charged with labour fee when it's the quality prob and not my prob. i rarely wind down that window!!

Any idea? Anybody encountered this?
