iPhone is a good device but it's really annoying how Apple has crippled the full extent of it's use by imposing restrictions on developers, things like disabled internet tethering, restricted application data file access, forced synced-image downgrading.
Having a credible alternative like Android will definitely discourage Apple to continue to behave like the monopolistic arrogant bastards they have been behaving like so far.
Yes, thats true. Apple is extremely monopolistic. The 'I' in Itunes, Iphone, Ipod, means the Apple Corporation.Having a credible alternative like Android will definitely discourage Apple to continue to behave like the monopolistic arrogant bastards they have been behaving like so far.
But to give credit where its due, theyve created a global eco-system one stop center in Itunes.
While its Ok to customize, applications need support and revenue to improve, thats where Android as a mobile platform can strike a balance.
A lot of apps on itunes are really good, and Ive known users who have spent hundreds on apps alone in Malaysia.
There theyve already built on a quality and brand.
Android needs to do the same. Creating some sort of platform for android mobile on the PC/MAC where users can browse and purchase apps, not only through the mobile app store
On another disadvantage, I have yet to see an android phone that supports 3g video call. It is probably due to OS limitation rather than physical
