B&W 602 S3 is quite an old model but sound quality is superb. I am not surprised to see it's priced at Rm 1k, in fact this is about the standard market price for a used pair in UK.

Added on June 14, 2011, 7:04 amYes I have a few B&W speakers sat in my living room icon_rolleyes.gif

B&W 704 Floor standing
B&W HTM7

The one on the left could be a refurbished one as mine's is exactly as shown on the right hand side picture, and so far i have not seen any 602 s3 has a crossover like the ones in the left picture.

Added on June 14, 2011, 8:21 pmAgain this model is like 10 yrs old if not mistaken, I would still believe the one you found Rm 1k is a refurbished set as I do not think a seller would keep a new speaker for 10 yrs without using it .

What is the B&W speakers recommended for movie ? Budget is 5k
*
Indeed bro Milzer is true! Budget 5k for front speakers or full 5.1 speakers? You could consider getting a used set but dont you worry about the sound quality, used B&W but in great condition ones may still produce a good quality of sound compare to some new speakers which I personally noticed!

but dealer location in UK.. will be charged a lot in delivery and tax in malaysia?

You could save some money by using sea shipping. I am not sure about tax, but I know a shipping company in UK who provides door to door delivery and based on past my experience, most of the used item were delivered and reached Malaysia safely without any tax.

yup...delivery will include cost of shipping (by sea) + insurance of the item..5% of the value (depend of the shipping co if I'm not mistaken)..then you got to pay tax some more..... smile.gif  smile.gif

Any B&W CM series (the floorstanders) user mind to share their thought?

I have been quite happy with my B&W 700 series but recently considering to relocate to Shanghai after study, very reluctant to sell of my beloved speakers actually, but due to high shipping cost and high import tax in China, i might end up having to sell them off and get a new set in Shanghai, but I am well aware that 700 series is discontinue.

Would not be happy with 600 series, so CM series would be at least something I would like to consider, which is also close to my budget but not sure about the performance if were to compare with B&W 700 series.

Any thought is absolutely welcome notworthy.gif

Moving from 700 series it's best yous start thinking of the 800 series as the CM might be just a parallel move for you  laugh.gif

I'll trade the car with the 800 diamonds x 10 pieces and Classe CA2300 x 10 for bi-amp or CA-M300 x 20 for the same bi amp setup, anytime  whistling.gif

I know but the thing is 800 series is way beyond the amount I can afford sad.gif

Like the comment and I probably would do the same ,trade the car for some nice kits biggrin.gif

hi hokiman,
Maybe you can tell us your space size so I can suggest which would fit in nicer and still sound great in your room.

I think i met you the other day, maybe you would like to consider to go for the 804 Diamond (no upgrade after that) once and for all. cool2.gif

Hi SunofaBeach,

Which model of the 700 series you have currently?
If you post it here, maybe also with good price, people would want to get it  drool.gif

Hello there,

The 704, 705 and HTM7.

Selling them off would be my very last decision (if I had to) laugh.gif

In fact I might consider selling my 705 1st if I could get another pair of 704 to replace my surround drool.gif
