rogershah: bro looking back on your iron man mark III custom battle damage, now it looks better than the current release Mark III battle damage.
Hottoys just couldn't pull off the mass market production battle damage painting effect on the IMBD The battle scars on the new IMBD looks nothing like the prototype pics. The only thing i like about the new IMBD is the colour of the hot rod red. Here is another custom by a hongkie collector called nickwcy ![]() » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by quiksilve: Feb 28 2010, 08:16 PM |

QUOTE(rogershah @ Feb 28 2010, 08:06 PM) thanks for your comments bro... oh that hongkie custom the battle scars on his new battle damage, thats why got gauntlet like the new wanHT does seem to be a little 'off' with this figure... btw, his custom is really extreme to be fair, he did get stepped on the chest by Iron Monger, but nevertheless I agree... the sculpted damage is too focused on the chest... they didnt even bother to carve some scratch on the helmet... everything else is just painted but I think the biggest setback is the changed HS, totally 'potong stim'... it's the John conner BD case all over again |

Well regardless of the issue with the headsculpt on the IMBD, yes you can get a refund from XL.
For those thinking of getting a refund, you don't have to worry about XL, cause when a friend of mine was just asking whether can refund, they gladly say yes, because the waiting list behind that didn't pre-order the IMBD is very very long. Anyone would gladly snap up those who wanna cancel their order. As for me i am still getting mine, cause besides the headsculpt, the upgraded wrist gauntlet on right arm, ejective shoulder micro munitions, retractable countermeasure dispenser and new hot rod red paint still makes it a worthy buy. Cheers QS |

QUOTE(rogershah @ Mar 2 2010, 11:03 AM) Im not saying everyone should ask for refund... I was just replying to bro Naskie, because as I remembered, one guy did ask to cancel his PO when the batmobile was delayed for almost a year in the XL forum... although I'm not sure wether he got his deposit back or not, that's why need to confirm first with XL first yeah in fact actually quite a lot did cancel their orders from what i heard. not only here in m'sia, especially hk and us.but i dont think people would start asking for refund though... because IMDB does have some new interesting features... |

QUOTE(orestes @ Mar 2 2010, 03:27 PM) can say its a major blow to their international and local market. And it really make me come to think in a collector's point of view about whether i should pre-order or just wait for new toys from them to arrive at local stores. Seeing that nothing is certain since licensing is really anybody's guess. I'll probably stop after Leonidas and T-800 which i pre-ordered, then see how it goes from there. Good thing also easy for my wallet hehe This post has been edited by quiksilve: Mar 2 2010, 05:41 PM |

Well warmachine looks good, but hard to tell if headsculpt will be final after the iron man bd case.
Is it me or does his human nose looks really huge because of another licensing issue? This post has been edited by quiksilve: Mar 15 2010, 01:55 PM |

QUOTE(BeastX @ Apr 23 2010, 04:49 AM) Play-Asia had it at 50% off (for a few hours before sold out).. but shipping (and tax) will bring it to well above RM 1k quite a crazy price indeed then, hopefully wouldn't get tax too much for those that ordered last round.QUOTE(mywii @ Apr 23 2010, 10:33 AM) Customed by a fan? looks very close to accurate i like too wah quite a lot of poison at that expo Mark 4 and warmachine really looks poisoning indeed muhahahaha and what is this??? hottoys making another stealth version not for sale........yet at the moment. this is one crazy huge a$$ piece, hottoys also testing skill making life size now This post has been edited by quiksilve: Apr 23 2010, 11:30 AM |

mywii: wow nice haul bro, can slowly haul and make a band of brothers or the thin red line team. i like how they always finish the headsculpt with true to life painting.
Thing with DID figures is that they consistently turn out better in toy than prototype which is a good thing. This post has been edited by quiksilve: Apr 25 2010, 11:23 AM |

seems like hottoys really cutting back a lot on the packaging design these days, same thing goes for T-800 design box, nothing special just a printed grey box.
