not programming . we are providing it support for avg anti virus company. but min requirement must be degree or at least 2+ years working experience.. once u passed the interview, u need to attend classes for 1 mth and then only hit the floor. on the floor(start providing support) every solution that u send out goin to be reviewed by the team leaders and also AVG Czech guys. if u cant pass the review from 100% to 0%, then they goin to sack u...kinda high riskt though

solution=troubleshoot the cmr prob related to the avg software through phone+remote desktop access+email.

need to go through the logs to find out the probs

yup..application support specialist.. but we used the common term as "helpdesk support agent" the jobs is kinda easy..just that during the review time, really need to workhard and be able to handle the stress avg company is from Czech.. they placed 1 or 2 AVG Czech supervisor to monitor our performance and also for the hiring part. When u attend the interview, u must pass the IT question through online exam. Then once u passed the exam, u goin to be interviewed by 2 local managers. Then if u manage to pass that stage, the final stage is interview by the Czech guys. u wont regret if u really can make it to my company

reciew time means that after u hav completed one mth training...then when u really work on the floor, they goin to review ur solutions provided to cmr every weekend.. from 100%>75%>50%>25%>0%. u need to drop to 0% within a certain duration. another good things bout this company is that our ceo really concerns bout the staffs and this year we r goin to get end year bonus as an appreciation

we hav ot's here. but even w/o ot, it is more than enuf the examples of question that they will ask :

-What are the standard port numbers for SMTP, POP3, IMAP4, RPC & HTTP?

-Explain DNS.

-Explain DHCP.

-How can you force the client to give up the dhcp lease if you have access to the client PC?

die lor if liek this...coz during the interview, they goin to ask u to describe in detail... especially the Czech supervisors.. but if u r really interested, i can give u all the tips. after all, i also got $$ to earn if u really can pass the probation period.win-win situation for both of us

die lor if u think like this..i'm from Multimedia background and my first job is related to webdesign and also some general it troubleshooting for an insurance company in Klang. that time as a fresh grad, everything also seems like an alien for me.. hav to perform server n network maintainances too. everytime server down, sure panic and keep calling frens or asking through it forum. then second job is working with CSC as onsite engineer providing it software\hardwares support for the majors banks around Klang valley. that time really wokr like a kuli but yet never regretted coz i manage to learn lot of it knowledge there. and right now i'm into a new world again working in the call center. so in order for us as IT guy to survive and earn lot of $$, we need to frequently updates our IT knowledges. but in 2 years time, i will call it a day for call center job and then move to IT management field

good morning to all the Sc'ians here. Just to let every1 know that i hav decided to quit SC for every1 best interest here. For the SC gathering and activities, pls find Chee Ann or any other volunteer to be the organizer. If i had unintentionally make someone to be upset or unhappy here, i, sincerely from the bottom of my heart would like to apologize to them here. I'm glad to make some frens here and we still can meet up for a drinking session even though it is not under SC gathering anymore. Thank you and enjoy the life to the fullest in SC.
