Friends,

Would appreciate if someone can recommend a good TV retailer in Johor Bahru.

All the "star" resellers in this forum serve primarily KL/PJ market. I can't buy thru' them cos' I'm in JB. I wishes to purchase a 46" or larger TV.

Thanks in advance

You can start from Khin Guan. They normally will put quite a "competitive" price. But the best bet is to ask many shops for few model and compare which model to buy from which shop. You can be surprise at how much that some retailers can cut the price, especially on early '10 or older model.

now can get around 3k. Just go to the nearest shop and press them for less than 3k, they sure can give you 3k. The other day I ask a 4.3k tv, press till they willing to sell at 2.8k shocking.gif

it seems that Malaysian prefers LCD whereas foreigner prefers Plasma. While this survey is about 3D, the same probably holds true for 2D.

I'm not a sifu but I was in the same situation as you. But after comparison, samsung plasma 7 series is more watchable than the LED counterpart plus much cheaper price. If you use the TV mainly for movies and byond, go for plasma. The black level, shadow details and pleasant color tone are just better. LED is more for show off I think and so damm expensive.

for me personally, i feel led colour are much better, plus the 100hz motion flow thingy, it feels like new experience of watching movie. drool.gif

TS should spend more time testing both and see which one suited his viewing pleasure.

True. But I don't like the picture quality of LCD nor can I stand the glare of LED so I wouldn't bother switching them on. So what to do?

Not bad the 47SL90QD.
Compare with the latest model, the only drawback I see is only 1 HDMI input.
How much the price?

Got one big eletrical shop, it's the same row with The Store at Jalan Tuanku Munawir. The shop in the middle row is selling computer parts, got another shop with same name at the end of the row. I forgot the shop name already, but just look for the 2 shop with same name.
