I have the Samsung BD-C5500 BD player that also have this function. You can see what Internet@TV has to offer locally in post#23 in this thread on the Samsung BD-C5500. I think it should be the same for Samsung HDTV.

AFAIK, there are no true LED TV available commercially at the moment, so called LED TV are actually LCD TV with LED backlit/edge-lit. Full HD are those with resolution of 1920x1080 pixels while HD Ready are those below that, usually 1366x768 pixels. You can see my HDTV Blog to get a general idea.

got my pany 50v20 few week ago. now my DVD player down. Wanna look for a new player, any recommnedation? HDMI or blue ray?

I would suggest a BD player rather than a DVD player with HDMI. This is because you can get a BD player from as low as RM350 while a branded DVD player with HDMI starts typically from RM299. Unless you want to play VCD but watching VCD on HDTV is very painful to the eyes! Entry level BD players includes Samsung BD-C5500, LG BD550, Philips BD3100, Sony BDP-S370, etc. Each has its pros and cons but many people here find the Samsung C5500 the best value for money.

It is not about the cable or the plug, it is the media processing capabilitiy of the LCD. Even if you can get the plug you wanted, the LCD will not work with your pendrive. The easiest and cheapest solution is to get a stand alone HD media player (such as the HDPro R1055 if you do not need networking at RM199) to connnect via HDMI to your LCD and plug in your pendrive to the media player and viola, you can watch to your heart's content. biggrin.gif
(Oops, I am referring to LCD TV, not sure if it is the same for LCD monitor! Other sifus can comment on this.)

AFAIK, image buin-in can only happen in plasma TV because of the technology involved. LCD/LED TV do not have this issue. For newer plasma model, this may not be a major issue but best to check the user manual or the brand's website to take the necessary precaution especially during the first few hundred hours like you mentioned.

So, am I correct to state that no breaking-in or any of that sort is required for LCD/ LED TV?
We just start use the set as norm?
