QUOTE(art6969 @ Jan 3 2011, 05:33 PM) i used to reject plasma for the same reason. But I'm totally reversed now after seeing the Pana P42V20K surface..LED is not glaring at all if you look at LG's LE5500 so, yeah..choices are there now! |

seriously, the pana V series don't have that reflection ghost anymore...
Now, between 50inch v series and lg LED 47" le7500(or LE5500), the obvious comparison for noob like is are : 1. Pana V couldn't play mkv files straight from USB so got to buy a player (It has DLNA & LAN Port though, so no sure if we could stream the movie directly from our laptop/PC?). 2. is energy saving a big factor On the other hand, I love the Pana V's colour (i've seen a side by side comparo between plasma, LED, LCD from Panasonic) and its price is cheaper than LED .. |

Pana's latest V series plasma isn't that glaring, reflection has been reduced sharply from what I can see comparing to the old Pana plasma model..

I've compared Philips LED alongside LG LED(LE5500), watching a football match with players running in close-up, I can see that LG has a better image, Philip has a blurrish scene somehow...

LED Tvs getting slimmer :
LG Nano LED that could be the reason why the prices of 2010 LG LED models has fallen sharply of late...2011 models are lining up to be launched? |

Internet TV , as far as browser (latest feature) is concerned , it is a hassle if external keyboard is not enabled. You have to basically use the remote control to toggle between a,b,c,d, etc. It would take approximately 15 seconds to type yahoo.com .. I've seen this feature and tried that in SH kota damansara.. feature wise it is very attractive but user interface lacks a lot to be desired until a wireless keyboard can be attached to the package!
And also i saw what chinese termed as '颗粒感‘ (grainy ?) on its display, in this new D series (on 42") compare to a toshiba LED.. Sorry, i could only compares to this Toshiba as it was placed side-by-side.. |
