how bout toshiba? I've compared side by side between Toshiba XL700E, Sony EX520 and Panasonic TH-42LE3K. Toshiba picture quality is the best. Is there any other things that I need to take into account before choosing LED tv?

Perhaps I have asked too many in this subforum and people getting annoyed biggrin.gif I wish I could buy it without thinking but to think the money I'm gonna spend stop me to do that. Well, I still have few more days before buying tv because am waiting my astro to be installed. Well plasma tv and high end LED tv rules here, so hard to find any comments on entry level LED tv blush.gif

but i heard that sharp is no 1 in japan. I think samsung is no1 in japan because of the price, design and pic quality. Not sure bout the build quality and reliability. I think cant be on par with japan unless brand like sony that uses taiwan made panel while sharp using japan made. I also cant confirm this. All the info I got are thru this forum only tongue.gif

psst... Samsung sell their LCD/LED panel to Sony.... so yes Samsung/Sony is the same except the propriety chipset....
*
for LCD/LED market Sony just an average player. Not like during the CRT tv era where Sony is the best in terms of pic quality (especially the color). They're not aggressive in LCD/LED market.

Sony simply missed the boat. Their Trinitron CRT was absolutely 1st class but their LCD/LED is 3rd class especially the fake color.

My dad still keep his 29" Sony TV. Damn heavy. I think the TV already 15 years old and no problem at all! Now become 3rd TV already biggrin.gif
