All sifus can please recommend a best bang for buck 50" plasma full hd without 3D Tv for me.
Currently considering the Panasonic THP50U30K price is around 3k.

What is the recommendation for plasma 42" and would appreciated if you tell the price if possible ?

The watching distance is not far and it may be just 5-6 feet distance and not TV position is not under the fan

Hi all, I spotted Panasonic 50" 3D FULL HD Plasma (P50ST30K) which selling at RM6,999...love the black level, contrast in this series when they display Avatar but I'm not ready with the 3D technology, wondering is there model out there can compete with this model?

The U-series plasma by Panasonic is not as good as this...any other option?

I have ordered 1 unit but after few days, the seller told me that it is going to be discontinued, it is a little bit hard to get it now.

Sure the salesman is right, this model is going to be discontinued but not right now, may be in a few more months because it's Oct-2011 already. LOL

I agreed that should be having some new models come in but this should not cause the 50U30K to be no stock currently.
While SenQ and the Panasonic still got stock there, just they are selling more expensive now....
and even there are some 2010 models are still able to get in the market too...

Hi bros, need some advise...i have narrowed down my options as per below:

If i goes for Plasma:
- Samsung 3D Plasma 43" PS43D491
- Samsung Plasma 43" PS43D451
- Panasonic 42" Plasma TH-P42U30K
Note: I kinda like the sammy (because its value for money) but the aspect ratio 4:3 (1024x768) such a turn-off for me. Unless somebody can convince me that its not a big deal in term of PQ and no problem watching 720p without scaling.

If goes for LED:
- Panasonic LED TV - L42E3K (50hz but extra 2 inches)
- Toshiba LED 40" - 40PS10E (not sure PQ better than Sammy or Pana. also dont know if its capable of 100hz)
- Samsung LED UA40D5000 (seems like a good option but not sure on it media player capabilities)

My major requirements and viewing preference
1) at least 40 incher
2) willing to extend to RM2500 if the models comes with good media player which can play at least 720p mkv x.264 DTS file.
3) can hook up 2TB HDD and play movie directly.
4) If possible, at least true HD ready reso of 1280×720 or 1366×768.
5) If LED, at least 100hz

If my requirement no 2 and 3 is not possible with the above listed models:
- i would rather go for cheaper model with the remaining requirements met (No 1,4,5)..
- And just hook up dedicated Media Player (WDTV, AcRyan) to the TV....
- Example: Sammy Plasma 43" PS43D450, Panasonic 42" Plasma TH-P42X30K, Samsung LED UA40D5003

I'm using a Sony LED TV EX series recently everytime I finished watching a BD, when I press the stop button the screen flick or displays a purple screen for a few seconds only then displays the TV menu.

Does this mean something is wrong with it.
