I love RGBLED so much... over-saturation? ya... at the beginning i felt like why the colour so weird, but after that, i love it so much... the colour damn nice for gaming and movies...
and if put 2 laptop 2gether for comparison... you will choose RGBLED...
but for me, if you budget not much, i rather use the money to upgrade processor for performance...
depends on you.... hehex...

Has anyone tried installing Windows 7 using the UPGRADE DVD provided by Dell after a clean reformatting of the computer? As in reformat before entering the installation disc?
*

i'll suggest you direct phone call Dell... i managed to discount rm700 for my own system, and help my friend discount rm300...
upgrade for 3 years complete cover, they gave me rm50 to upgrade it... nice~

Well, if solely based on WEI score, the Dell driver does give you a very high rating, 6.4 for both graphics and gaming graphics. So far that's the highest I've seen, as compared to other versions by ATI.
*
6.4?? Mine both 6.7... what's wrong?

hello people...
Im planning to buy this XPS 16 soon... I was wondering, is the build quality good enough for home use? maybe open close lid everyday about 4-5 times...
is there any issue with the hinges, flexing, etc?
Im deciding between this and studio 15 and sony vaio fw series...
budget is less than 4.5k... =p
*
suggest SXPS 16... Sony Vaio FW series, Ermmm.. your budget less than 4.5k kennot get Full HD... but for SXPS 16 already Full HD...

is the temperature of laptop so important? why everybody keep asking temperature things? i used it to gaming at least 6 hours a day, total 12 hours, with cooler master infinite and room temperature 24C, it's ok for gaming continuously. if burn or whatever explode, dell will exchange for us what... i bought 3 years complete cover...

2nd... Dell's service really good... they exchange a new screen for me 2moro cause of my screen now got only 1 dead pixel... happy...

turn on cooling pad drop 1c only  sweat.gif
*
Ermm, i suggest you put your laptop up a bit more, cause the heat really focus on touchpad there... so move your laptop up more to let the fan blow the bottom part of the touch pad... i'm using this cooler pad too... no problem with it, and i open 24 hours air-cond at 24C... and i max the cooler fan speed all the time.
I can feel the heat blowing to me while gaming, that's mean it's works... it did blow away the heat.

2nd, for those only 1 year complete cover plan, if expired, you can continue the warranty by rm850 for another 1 year more complete cover. Ya, they still have cheaper warranty (for this better contact dell). But, if next time buy dell again... please purchase it thru phone-call, cuz i got 3 years complete cover upgrade only add another rm50.

Whatever it is... jz call Dell, nego the price... cuz they will decrease for you 1~ just like pasar malam.

there is no such 'void warranty' in Dell i think... cant c any sticker like that after open the casing myself... some more.. dunno opened how many times already.... they still change me a whole new screen 2gether with casing (the whole lid) for me cuz of 1 dead pixel... technician dont even knw that i open myself b4...
For RGBLED screen, even 1 dead pixel, you can c that obviously... that's why i want a new replacement... That's annoying 1 black dot there...

This was the email that the technician replied me:

"By right, a display with 1 to 5 fixed pixels is within the industry standards, and is therefore considered an acceptable display.

For more information about the similar issue, please refer to the link below:
http://support.ap.dell.com/support/topics/...c=sg&l=en&s=gen

However, I have discussed this issue with my manager, and he had approved for me to make a special arrangement for you for one time off, gesture of goodwill basis as this is the first time we arrange replacement parts for the computer with this service tag."

A very good service in DELL...
oh ya, if casing broke right, we still can request for a replacement... you no need upgrade 'DELL CARE' warranty for this service... jz normal complete cover also ok d...

But colour accuracy is always the drawback. Most people like natural colours rather than over saturated colours right?
*
it's really depends on every people... but for me, the reason bought this laptop because of the RGBLED screen+ Backlit keyboard... if not i will go for other brand or use the money pump up the performance...
but serious... when come to gaming... the colour really nice...

you will decide which screen suit for you when RGBLED and WLED put 2gether...
