guy. just received a reply from dell... here is is the content: Thank you for contacting Dell Online Technical Support and good day to you! From your email, I understand you wish to know if the warranty will be void if you open up the casing of the notebook. If I have misunderstood your concern, please do let me know. The warranty will not be void if you wish to do that. However, just a reminder to you, if there is any damage inflicted on the notebook and it is not because of any hardware failure, then it will not be covered under the warranty. For example, if after cleaning the dust and you notice the computer cannot boot up or the fan is not running, most probably something has gone wrong while you are cleaning the system. If you wish to do that, i would suggest for you to call to our technical support and then have someone instructed for you through the phone to clean the fan. This way, you will have experienced technical support guiding you to open up the casing and tell what is the do's and dont's. I hope the explanation is clear and sorry for the late reply. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have further enquiries. my god~~~ they are so polite XD This post has been edited by Fantasia: Jan 12 2010, 04:42 PM |

QUOTE(intelli_pro @ Jan 17 2010, 09:55 PM) if i want to build muscle i'll go to gym, not by carrying excessive weight with me everyday to work invest a good backpack... this is what i can advise u if u feel it heavy... it work for memy previous laptop weighs just 2.5kg, and i'm actually doing okay carrying it to work daily. i'm just afraid 3kg will be abit of inconvenience since it's not so portable, but i do love the specs of SXPS16. guess i have to compromise since i can't get the best of both world, any other users have an issue with it's weight? |

QUOTE(kheechun @ Jan 18 2010, 06:56 PM) Just tried to update BIOS to A12 on my 1640, and guess what? computer hanged at "programming block 19 of 32", called Dell after half an hour, they said can't do anything, have to turn off the computer and try to start it again. Unfortunately, the computer is not able to start up anymore, no Dell screen, only the 3 volume buttons blinking.... Motherboard will be replaced tomorrow dell punya support mmg suck -.-" |
