Do you guys think the Studio XPS 1647 with Core i5 has the intergrated GPU in the CPU? and did Dell did any switch to change from Intergrated to discrete? or automatic? Otherwise this would be a nice machine with a 9-cell battery.. LoL

yes, Intel's latest GMA HD is integrated in the dual core flavour of Nehalem, for both desktop and mobile...

however, in order to use GMA HD, the mobo chipset used has to be HM55 or HM57...

PM55 and PM57 do not (i repeat: DO NOT) have the necessary bus to connect to GMA HD and the relevant display output as well...

As u can read in posts in here.. A notebook coolers is not really helpful due to the design on the SXPS 16 however it might help cool down the HDD smile.gif Cooler Master Notepal Infinite would be nice biggrin.gif

Really? Anyway, thanks for ur advice
Did anyone have the comparison between each model?
Example: Zalman ZM-NC 2000 vs Cooler Master Notepal Infinte vs Cooler Master Notepal X2

Sleeve?

I second that question, may we have a picture? =D

As far as i know the SXPS is an uber fingerprint/smudge magnet. I might consider getting a 'sleeve' too.

pic.. i no digital cam o.. lol
i just now go buy another 15" gola bag ( i not sure is it original gola, but i like the design ^.^ because it is smaller then those rm170++ gola bag) + cooler master notepal U2 (fan edition) total RM145+sleeve RM40 total 185 only.

so 1 sleeve, 1 bag, 1 cooler = 185... quite nice cos i can put my babe inside the sleeve, then mount the cooler at the sleeve and put everythings inside the gola bag.

very very recomended the notepal U2 (fan edition) cooler cos the fan is detach-able and put anywhere you like within the cooler + full aluminum body is nice biggrin.gif the most important is, the cooler reli very light ~ just when you going to portable, just off your laptop lid, attach the cooler at your laptop, put in your bag and ready to go biggrin.gif

guys,

i plan to buy dell xps 16 very soon.

but need to clarify a few things about the notebook.

I check on the dell website and I'm a bit confuse about the display since they didn't put the resolution for each display.

I need to know what is the highest setting for 15.6' display compare to 16' RGBLED? is it 1980x1080, or 1366x768.

TQ
