Well some people will benefit from the Core i7's Quad-Core processor, while some who game would be better off getting the Core i5 Dual-Core processors and since it has 4 threads, Intel claims it to act like a quad-core when needed.

Seems like a brick, looks like a brick, smells like a brick, weighs like a brick, as ugly as a brick~Yeah confirm its a brick

Sorry for my sarcasm-I notice mostly people would rather go for the SXPS 16 +RGB LED+i7+BD rom rather than the Alienware because its somehow IMO, a more complete package.Good looks+good specifications is certainly hard to beat right?

Somehow or rather strangely,i haven't placed any order nor did i discuss with my parents yet doh.gif But i did check the price in lowyat. Its RM4199 for an extra of 4GB RAM and 500GB 7200RPM but wanted to check out the unit again, but seems like all the shops are out of stock sweat.gif

New vent?Cool....would be pleased to hear if the new batch of 1640s are coming with it. since some users complain of the lousy vent.

@Cain,are u still ordering yours after the ups and downs?I hope so smile.gif

Actually mydad paid a RM300 deposit on 6th Dec for the 1645 but they were out of stock. They didn't contact us to inform about arrival of new stock until 2010! Which pissed me off so this coming Sat i'm gonna stomp into their shop and politely request for them to refund my deposit. Hopefully it works out. Still intend to get the SXPS 16, probably the 1647, but definitely not from Digital Stuff.

Do you guys think the Studio XPS 1647 with Core i5 has the intergrated GPU in the CPU? and did Dell did any switch to change from Intergrated to discrete? or automatic? Otherwise this would be a nice machine with a 9-cell battery.. LoL
