Thanks 8tvt. I really wanna get this 15ab. But Dell Studio 1555 is very attractive too. All specs are almost same except Dell's Intel procesor and cost RM500 more. Asus has a nicer built design in my opinion. Any further motivation for me?

dell got the warranty package while asus 2 years international warranty and of cos the dell build its abit more solid i believe....the keypad in my k50ab is abit too plasticky...

i installed the Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, but when i install the previous ATi CCC, it cant detect my 4570 graphic. So when i could download it?

And it's that normal i got 4GB RAM, but it showed 3.75GB usable??

Weird, with 213 only detect HD4570, even in PowerXpress it cant switch to HD3200 but only stays using HD4570. End up using dGPU again

The problem with switching starts when i update the graphic driver. After windows login, the screen went blank, so end up using dGPU.
So far any noticeable battery life with HD3200 & HD4570 on K50AB? Coz i am losing 1% battery life for every minutes of movie. In average my battery just gave me 100 minutes of normal usage with 0.9v

its not the problem related in the first post... its the bios problem... bios and hardware incompatible... just asking if anyone having the same problem...

flash the new bios but still doesnt detect the graphics hardware..

i suppose thats a stupid thing to do eh.. shud be impossible?? mac doesnt publish OS.. the OS itself is already included in their lappy..

hello i'm sorry to ask here but why is my k50ab doesn't detect hd4570 gc in this lappy? i've alr installed the graphic driver from ati site n its still not working..in fact i installed ati catalyst as well..

great.. windows need the achi driver on the first install..
i suspected ur old bios use enhanced ide on first setup.. so windows cannot find the driver..
that's why got problem..

u can tweak it btw.. but need to hack the registry..
since the performance is same.. just use ide is ok..

Anyway i have a theory about the RAM OC, since most of DDR2 these days are made at minimum 333mhz double pumped to 667mhz speed, the HD4570 DDR2 theoretically can support until 667mhz. So how high you guys can go for GPU memory OC ?

For the LCD cleaning, IMHO the lesser i clean the better - Minimize the chances of getting scratch.

Its more economical to get those 667mhz DDR2 widely stocked chips then run it at stock 500mhz to save energy & lessen the heat. I'm just guessing with 667mhz DDR2 chips as some can go above 600mhz b4 BSOD. It fills in the characteristic of a 667mhz chip.

Indeed it is slower, but I'd get more than 10k in 3DMark03 and more than 6.7k in 3DMark05 out of this puny HD 4570. This little GPU is quite a good performer, just not in latest titles.

I been looking to buy Turion X2 ZM84 or ZM86 for some of the more CPU intensive game titles, anyone knows where to buy these chips?

Something like 2.4GHz is enough to handle some older titles like CnC3 that I've been playing so much on this lappy. With CPU fan at 100% the CPU won't even reach 60C anymore, even after full load and the GPU is below 80C (only reaches 80C if I run FurMark fully overclocked), a good 8-10C compared with the mobo control the fan
