from benchmark, i can see 4570 thumping over 105, but i see acer has VHP bundled haha...

but tbh, i never liked acer design =.=... u know i once called acer laptops as 'cash register' i mean, look at the color, the bulkiness haha >.<

Last week i went to 1 of Asus distri, looking for k40ab for my customer. They claimed that there is no more k40ab.

can anyone tell me the brand of the ram in the k40/50 laptops and their timings? if my lappy arrives today i'll have to think about which ram to get so they'll match. any suggestions? where i am i can choose from sycron, kingmax, kingston and others . . .

Waa the forum propagate so fast lul...Anyways another question. I find that most games run well at 1024 x 600 but here's the thing...I've tried the mobility modder and managed to create and install the latest Catalyst drivers but then the resolution of 1024 x 600 is not available (all widescreen resolutions under 1280 x ### not available compared with the stock drivers). Is there a way to add in this resolution to the new drivers again?

most major shops should have k40ab easily. k50ab, the other story, have to preorder.

i can't rmbr which ram brand, but it doesnt matter much. mixes well with kingstons etc.

is it becoz of 216 bios lack of that option and i cannot use the powerXpress?
guess need to flash to 213 bios..
216 bios also no longer available in asus site..

could you use cpu-z or something to tell me the timings, pls? if it's cl5 (5-5-5-15 or 18) or cl6 (6-6-6-something)? i don't want to buy something that won't work. regards

i meant the lappy came with kingston 2gb ram.. got extra slot left for ur next upgrade..
just JEDEC standard for 800mhz 5-5-5-15 1.8V.. no worry much..

but not advisable to buy the ram now as recently the price raise up..
IIRC last time 2gb can get <RM100 now maybe ~RM140
