@kucingfight: u not selling ur k50AB d?
*
lol, nope, chickened out.. too good to be sold

Anyways i tried modding & flashing the memory timings (using SPDTool) to decrease the ram's latency. Damn, seemed unsuccessful to overwrite the stock 2gb's ram. The other additional 1gb ram flashed successfully

nice... most of the popular games tested by HD4570 always hit above 30fps at medium setting .. Crysis gave

CPU bench
low med high
67 34 27

GPU bench
58 53 27

even GRID made to 51 fps at high setting...

but most importantly....... 100fps at COD:4 (my fav game of all time xD)

Added on November 2, 2009, 12:29 pmdamn u kucing...i was so hoping u know T.T

wow 3hours? wifi on surfing?
guess u've hit a record here, beating 2.5hours of k40ab

mm on watching AVI movie + BT background, gives me 1hr40mins max
*
yup using wifi.. that's why need that powerXpress thingy..
i notice using dGpu will minus 1hour..

i have both.. k40ab can reach almost 3 hours.. by using 3200..

i can accept though if k50ab consume more power becoz of big lcd..
but by using dgpu will notice it drain more drastically..

hopefully have solution for win 7 later..

mind providing detailed instructions? thanks.

Simple, just remove the fan connector, connect the red (power) to +5V on USB and black (ground) to ground USB. Check USB pinout here

as of now..nope

specs of newest k40ab/k50ab

-QL-65 2.1ghz (essentially same as QL-64 except QL-65 has higher HTT speed= 2000mhz vs 1800, not much effects)
-320gb instead of 250gb

it's more of probably Asus/AMD has cleared off their QL-64 inventories, so they are pushing for QL-65.
As for HD size, it's common, since price is always falling, why not have somehting bigger with the same price
