should be. if you want to update, my suggestion is to extract the bios file, ex: K50ABAS.216 at the root of your drive, mine i put it inside c:, so at the option, you dont have to search far, coz low level program like the bios update software can only use 8.3 naming.

for those who have webcam prob, just uninstall the driver inside device manager first, and without restarting the laptop, install the driver from the asus website. and restart.

if this does not fix it, keep repeating uninstall the driver, and install the other driver on the website, (there are 2 driver there to choose from).

mine works correctly now.

sad to say, i have to let go of this lappy. The environment i'm working in, require me to carry my own laptop between work places.... and this 15.6" is killing me.

astria, can you reccommend me some laptop that is lightweight? I dont care of its performance anymore, but please no Atoms. around 13-14" is ok i think.

the best part is, the warranty sticker almost nonexistant. so you can open your cover. most ppl here did that. most of them open for better the airflow, some l33t modder like najmod (hence his name) mod his fan to give better airflow and lower temp.

Quick question guys, i'm searching for a laptop right now and comparing these two:

New K50AB-SX126- RM1899
AMD Athlon X2 RM75 2.2GHz/15.6" LED/DOS/2GB DDR2/320G HDD/ATI HD 4570 512MB VRAM /1.3M WC

2nd hand xxx laptop (11 month old) - RM2100
AMD Athlon X2 QL62 2.0GHz/15.4" TFT/Vista/4GB DDR2/250G HDD (7200rpm)/Nvidia 9600m GT 512MB VRAM /2M WC

need to look at total cost of owning, including OS & warranty...
what you guys think? which one is a better deal?
*
seriously, what laptop uses AMD + 9600GT? drool.gif get that one! doubles the GPU of 4570....

bluetooth devices (or any other type of devices) are easy to configure and handled, thanks to new Windows 7 feature "Devices and printers"

you are using xp or win7? (dont use vista, i urge you to downgrade to xp or upgrade to win7, ASAP!!!)
