Idle means idle, you do nothing for certain period of time and that is your idle temperature. That is after you playing games? Which means it could be higher during gaming, although it have thermal limit of 100C make sure yours don't reach 90C when gaming, lower is better, to lower it either you do fanmod like I did and open up the backpanel when gaming to promote airflow

Oic...but im curious on how u attach the wires into pins (1 and 4) ? use celotape ?
after the wires are attached, devices such as pendrive still can be inserted ? Would'nt the attached wires cause the pins surface to be uneven ?
erm im also worry about the wires because your picture shows that there are parts of the wires that lies on the orange thingy, wont it be hot then melts the wires ?

Why do people worry too much? The wires are just put it just enough, not too deep that it obstruct any USB device been plugged in but not too loose that the wire fall off (there is a hole inside the case like shown on the USB where you could put your wires), and use cellotape close to it so it won't fall off. It won't have any problem with any USB devices, I used it with my mouse ever since I do this mod, no problem whatsoever

Those are just early shots to checking connection, I do it properly and tug it around so it won't be unseen or obstruct with any other thing like backpanel when it closed. Even if it do touch the heatpipes (the orange thingy), it won't melt, this isn't over 100C

I just jump into this wagon. Got K50AB RM75 from hikari85 but sent by Servex. Just received by courier yesterday, didn't do anything yet. Thinking to load up with multiple boot Win 7 x64, Win XP pro, hackintosh maybe, others OS for try up. Going to let go my free gift bag, got a better deal 15.6' bag from targus-dell.

hey, im using the athlon version(bought in Oct 09) and i have some problem with my wireless network...

I noticed that my K40AB most of the time got problem with the wireless connectivity... the signal strength is normally 1-2 bar... but my laptop is one floor above my router... my friends laptop can receive full bar for the wireless connection.... whereas mine sometimes only i see 3 bar

Is the wireless for K40AB that weak? cos i tried once putting it on the same floor as the router and still not stable..

u cant ask much from an AMD processor.. the lappy you are using.. i must say sucks badly at heat management.. u can feel the heat easily..

as for k40/50ab... the heat management i great.. u wont feel any heat at the palm rest area.. it might be hot but u wont be able to feel it.. most of the heat at dissipated to the back of the lappy..

btw.. u should read the first post.. it has everything there..
