is there a way to check if any (sms, camera or sdcard) fixes have been installed on the phone?

Yes, go to Settings > Application > Remove programs, you will notice: (might require scrolling down)

1) Hotfix LEO_7477 - Update for HTC HD2 – Digital Picture Enhancement
2) HotFix LEO07567 - Update for HTC HD2 – SMS Function Update
3) HotFix LEO07664 - Update for HTC HD2 SD Card Storage Capacity

under the "programs in storage memory" box.

do what i do. use INVISIBLESHIELD for the back and normal screen protector for the front.

in a while i'm off to Centrepoint MC D, meeting up with forummer Slyder to test out some games side by side with Touch Pro 2. anyone who can come is welcome to join, number is 0173305062.

Nope just normal sim card. I think i will just go to maxis center.

I just insert my Maxis3G SIM into it, goes through auto-configuration and 3G works till today..

Maxis even sent me an SMS as an option to auto-configure my HD2 for mobile internet.

Its best you change to a 3G SIM card.
