I might be wrong but from what I observe, the problems mentioned seems to happen to the Europe and Australia (first batch), but not to the Taiwanese who got the phone slightly later. So it might just happen to the first batch of the phone, who knows.

Well only one way to find out, I guess. I do hope you are right, which means there is a good chance the ones we are getting will be ok, else this is gonna suck. If that is the case, I will most probably wait until the issues, at least the hardware ones are addressed. Wonder if anyone, say someone in SiS or any dealer, can do some testing with the Malaysian units? On the quiet of course wink.gif At any rate, it doesn't look very promising for a Christmas present to myself sad.gif

can i just switch on the phone by using the battery charger or power supply without apply the battery into the phone?

Nope. Can't be done. I don't think it can be done for most phones nowadays. I know a while back, quite a while back that is, you could. But not anymore.

As usual, SiS handled the matter crappily. Don't even know why HTC continue using SiS. They don't even bother to promote. Never gauge market demand. Don't know their users and target market. Have shitty support. Never plan proper launch and supply during IT events. Just interested in selling off old stuff and increase price (justified by giving longer warranty period for products which become outdated so fast, and stupid online tutorials!). I don't remember seeing details of the launch in the local papers, or did I miss it? Anyone seen a review yet in the local papers? Brochures? Adverts? I think both SiS and HTC are sleeping zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Would seriously consider letting go if can get 2750 for it. But I am quite doubtful.

RM 2500 would be the ideal price to letgo

That's the problem with tech gadgets, open box and price drop so much. Less than a month and already lost 10%! Sianz

i think your set is default.. i have tested on putting my hand on the sensor and it always turn the backlight off.. each and every time
it is not out of stock.. PDA Expert just got their stock yesterday.

and why do u wanna sell off your HD2?
*
Apps I use require stylus. Untill they there are new versions of these apps, I guess I am better off with a resistive screen phone. But if can't get the price I want then I guess will just have to persist on. Hopefully the new versions will appear soon.

Big 2 ver. 1.1. Don't install Big 2 Pro, that doesn't work. Big 2 can be obtained here:
