Not to burst any bubble here. I am also crazy for the hd2 but I was wondering if it is a good idea to buy now? The reason is cos I have seen the rumoured HTC 2010 roadmap and it seems that better models are due out in the not too distant future. Furthermore, there is no guarantee that hd2 will have a winmo 7 upgrade although it is rumoured to be upgradable.
Any advice? |

QUOTE(Susuwatari @ Dec 8 2009, 10:26 PM) yes, I do understand that technology is moving at a very rapid pace nowadays and it is impossible to keep up. But unlike iphones which has a new model each year, winmos have like, I dunno, 50 new phones in a year? How can I be sure that they won't suddenly launch a hd3 a couple months down the road which supports winmo7 then rendering winmo 6.5 obsolete? If the hd3 (if there is) comes out a year later, then at least there was a years lifespan. Imagine if one were to take easy payment for the hd2 and a replacement comes out in like 4 months? They'd be jumping out of their pants! |

Thanks guys for the advice. Ya..I think I am set on the HD2. Hopefully the winmo 7 will be "officially" updatable for HD2. But I will only be able to get mine sometime next year. First I gotta sell off my Ipod Touch 32GB 3G first. Anyone interested? Look out for my [WTS] later in the month.
Congrats to those who already own the HD2... reddevils88, "Lastly, iPhone who?? HD2 > iPhone3gs" Haha...good one. I was just using the iphone example for time frame.. |

QUOTE(viper88 @ Jan 2 2010, 04:26 PM) I just bought HTC HD2 last week from LowYat Plaza PDA Expert. I'm wondering.....why is it that some shops have different pricing for their branches? Viper88 got his from PDA Expert at RM2780 with Car charger thrown in but when I inquired with PDA Expert in Digitalmall PJ, firm RM2899. This is not the only shop. When I got my neotouch casing for my ipod touch, the kl branch of MacStudio is selling more expensive than in Digitalmall PJ. Bought it at Rm2780. The cheapest HD2 price i can find in Lowyat is RM 2690 but that shop only provide basic software support only. My other contact told the costing price is Rm2610 for Ori SIS set. But since i prefer good softwares support, so PDA Expert is my choice after thinking for quite some time. HTC HD2 Full set - RM2780 Screen protecter Momax Car charger. HTC small case ( think for HTC Touch diamond ) Bought extra Sync & charge cable - RM15 Bought Kingston 16GB micro SD - RM158 - Lowyat 2nd top floor shop. Sell off the Sandisk 8GB micro SD - RM50 Sold of my 1 yr++ Omnia 16GB for RM1000. Total spent.. 2780 + 15 + 158 - 50 - 1000 = RM 1903 The Melko pouch was offerred to me at RM70 but i din buy coz dun like its design, need to flip open and make the device even thicker. Anyway, I would like to ask, do you guys recommend PDA Expert or Freshgear? |

QUOTE(viper88 @ Jan 3 2010, 03:07 PM) I'll go PDA Expert. Better after sales support especially for softwares. So, meaning to say yours is not SIS set? Wah..must teach me how to bargain man...I bargain with PDA Expert Digitalmall also they won't budge. They said RM2899 is the fixed. They even said outside selling RM3K+ Price i think can get lower RM2750 coz tat time i bargain, the sales staff said lowest is tat price but his supervisor around dun allow to sell too low, so he gave me car charger and HTC diamond pouch belt case. If you have any friends who have good PDA softwares, you can try to buy the cheapest ori SIS HD2 and ask them install for u, or u can try find online for those freewares PDA software. Can save moree $$$$$...but u need to do the search and install work. I feel if buy those SG HD2 set is much more cheaper.. only abt 2K+ abit but warranty need to send back SG. |

QUOTE(tunasandwich @ Jan 12 2010, 11:49 PM) got a question.. when i switched to digi... there's this weird number "1" showing on the title bar.... anyone have any idea what does it mean? I believe it states that it's using line 1. Some providers can allow 2 lines in a SIM card but I don't think it's available in Malaysia so the default is 1. |
