Why do you all need to apply a screen protector onto the HD2. Reduce screen sensitivity or just to protect the screen? If it is to protect the screen, save your $$$$ and watch THIS.

Did you watch the video? What can possibly scratch the screen of this BEAST? Diamond or tungsten carbide would do harm but not others it is like buying an insurance, so for about RM10 for an insurance i think that is a very good deal |

I've been using the HD2 for a week now, and my verdict is that it's a great phone to have. tried using my ipod nano today and was so not used to the tiny screen lolz...
anwy wanted to share 1 or 2 issues i had with the phone: a) Lack of rotating functions in program screens I was trying to get Garmin XT to rotate to landscape, as i feel it is a more natural view. Tried bunch of apps, but the one that worked for me was gyrator and BSB tweaks. i would recommend BSB tweaks as it gives u complete control over ur settings and other hidden features. There's also performance and power management options, and u can practically auto-rotate/pinch to zoom most screens(except perhaps, manila lol). go check it out at xda forums. (also it is an easy way to get the hidden camera modes and wifi-N, with just a click b) It drains power like crazy! Yes, i read abt the power drain b4 i bought the unit, but i always thought it was manageable. WRONG! i barely got 5 hrs of use out of it daily, b4 it dies on me. So frustrating! So i decided to go for a power management app hunt, and stumbled across WMlonglife. in my opinion, this is a must have for HD2 users as it seems to have helped with power saving so far. will do a proper time test to see if it works. Anyone has any tips on power savings? Please do share. Anyone have any other complaints/ issues with their phone? |

Just a few weeks after its release, the HTC HD2 will shortly receive an official ROM Update from HTC. The updates are not yet available on HTC's support page but have been leaked and made available to the public via HTCPedia.
So far, after initial feedback, it seems that the new ROM brings a newer build of Windows Phone 6.5 (original WWE ROM 1.43 was 21864, the new 1.48 ROM to be released is 21869). Also, HTC Sense has been updated to 1921 from 1920. Another important aspect: after preliminary testing, users report that the Pink Spot Syndrome has been fixed and no longer affecting the device. Make sure to check the HTC website and its support section in the next couple of days in case you want to wait untill it's released there. Looks like we finally got a solution... |

I think all of ours comes with th same 1.48 ROM default. Check the owner's list again.
Let's hope they have another newer built to fix this for us here, too. |
