QUOTE(Rishy @ Dec 5 2009, 05:03 PM) hahaha..thanks thats why i was considering the omnia ii, cos has amoled has helps stretch the battery life.after using it most of today i have 2 comments. Firstly, it is the best I have ever had. No regrets at all. Secondly, the only thing I'm a bit slack about is battery life. Maybe cos I was using the omnia hd before this. Not that big a deal la. just takes some adjusting and getting used to. But I absolutely LOVE this phone but i dont like the touchwiz. but again, someone at modaco managed to put the hd2 rom on the o2. |

QUOTE(Baronic @ Dec 6 2009, 02:57 PM) he's running SENSE 2.5, not HD2 rom. there is a HUGE difference. flashing roms meant for different devices on your device can PERMANENTLY DAMAGE your PDA, and all u have left is a very expensive paper weight. he's probably using the same base windows mobile kernel and the same application files but u cannot just take any rom from another device and straight flash on your own. ok, reminder for those who do not know, and its no surprise he can run SENSE 2.5. windows mobile is versatile u can port things here and there quite easily. SENSE 2.5 has already been ported to all the older windows mobile devices as well. heck been using SENSE 2.5 BEFORE HD2 was launched here in my Touch Pro 2 lol rom for different phones dont not work DIRECTLY on a device not meant for it. some amount of tweaking is required and the hd2 rom shown running is under progress being developed into custom rom for omnia 2. |

QUOTE(dgtel2 @ Dec 11 2009, 12:02 AM) The camera update does not fully eliminate the pink issue. LoL, HTC wrote it as if the hotfix was some miracle drop from the skyhttp://www.mobiletechworld.com/2009/12/10/...otfix-released/ According to my vision, I can still detect pink hue at the centre (it's just less prominent). This MAY conclude it's hardware problem, not software. QUOTE Update for HTC HD2 – Digital Picture Enhancement This update for HTC HD2 delivers clear digital picture quality like never before. Living up to the name of “HD” this phone and its twin LED flash will take beautiful pictures for you to cherish your memories. Displayed in brilliant vibrant colors on its 4.3 inch screen, HTC HD2 camera will delight you. but in reality, u would have gotten the same camera results if u adjusted the saturation and contrast settings urself. eg : reduced saturation by 1 step, and increased contrast by one step. htc just tested for the best setting to make the pink not visible and made it the default setting for the camera with the hotfix. but anyways, it's still a great improvement. kudos to HTC. QUOTE(RedDevils88 @ Dec 13 2009, 04:33 PM) sigh.. i thought of getting the Omnia II before hearing the news of the HD2, but after playing with the Omnia II, im so disappointed with it.. lousy speed, bad interface, lags alot, Omnia did alot of customization to the original WM interface which made it so not user friendly (i don't even know how to make the bluetooth visible!) , they even use the black colour theme which makes some software not compatible (unless you change it to a white theme). everything is bad on the Omnia II IMO. 800Mhz? i feel that it is running on a 400 Mhz processor, even my cruise is faster than that yupe, on paper the hardware looks good, but the 'young' touchwiz is dragging it back.it just have looks, i dont even think it has been optimized. |

QUOTE(imhong @ Dec 15 2009, 02:26 PM) Its much better now, tested for a while and i found that some of the sms are failed to load htc always write nice sentences in their fix but they dont even say fix what.not really fix all the problem so i guess i'll stick with the xda patch lolx. i thought this would solve the sending/receiving problem and not the loading lag problem. |

QUOTE(evilpuppy @ Dec 16 2009, 10:50 AM) Until today i never encounter any message stuck or delay so far since day 1 using it, if you doest have such issue i would suggest stay away this fix. this is not a fix, its getting worse. apparently most users which applied the fix responded that there are no (or no 'noticeable') improvements in terms of sms loading lag or sms send/receive. so no idea where htc is headed with this fix.so, camera fix = +1 sms fix = -1 |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Dec 16 2009, 11:51 AM) Those who still having problems adapting their fingers to keyboard input , should try SWYPE : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=598633 there used to be a thead on modaco for swype, but i believe it has been deleted because my bookmark goes to an empty page. there might be a legal issue using ported swype because its suppose to be bundled software with omnia 2 cdma, and its not freeware. It is FANTASTIC and I was thoroughly impressed . Now I use it as my standard INPUT - it is only at ver 1.0 and I believe the developer will improve it further. My input efficiency I must say has gone up few hundred percent. It will just take you a few minutes of testing to familiarize. Download the WVGA version only 1.5MB Added on December 16, 2009, 11:57 am QUOTE We see you have re-packaged our software and are distributing it. We are glad to hear that you guys like Swype, but we are obligated to state that we don't condone such activity nor support the result. Naturally those of you asking for new languages and features should wait until we launch a device in your market. Obviously, we won't support unlicensed versions of our software. One might ask why we don't just release the .cab file ourselves and save everyone the hassle. The reason is that we have spent seven years building Swype and we want to try to make a living selling our software. That means someone needs to pay for it. Thus far, our business model is OEM licensing. We do plan to get to direct-to-consumer distribution but it is a different sort of business and thus it is hard to say when. In the meantime, enjoy using Swype and please look out for a better, more integrated, and legal version coming soon to a phone near you. Regards, The Swype Team PS. Our lawyer has asked us to remind everyone about copyright infringement and to inform you that Swype reserves all of its rights. |

QUOTE(evilpuppy @ Dec 19 2009, 11:29 AM) Update for HTC HD2 SD Card Storage Capacity is there a way to check if any (sms, camera or sdcard) fixes have been installed on the phone? This update for HTC HD2 further extends support of the SD Storage Capability. Taking pictures with your 5 Megapixel lens and dual LED flash can only truly be appreciated at the maximum quality, and now with this update, you will be able to appreciate how much more you can store in your 8GB or more SD Card. hTC Support Site |
