the screen protector comes with the commercial package?
does the protector reduces the sensivity of the capacitive screen?
*
it doesnt come with the package and also the screen protector is not available in the market yet. i used a U1000 screen protector and cut it to fit my HD2's screen. i just feel abit more secured with a SP on it biggrin.gif
and no it doesnt reduce the sensitivity.

Guys, need your advise, i am using Samsung HD and Satio. I always being a symbian guy but use b4 Samsung Omnia that last 1 days with me. HTC HD that last 3 month with me and lastly X1 that lasted with almost 3 month. Is HD2 is damn good? Wanted to get one. Or wait X10 or N900?
*
I think u can't deal with WinMo phone. omnia, HD and X1 were great devices during that time but they seem just not too suitable for u.

HD2 is the best WinMo device in the market atm (maybe even the best device, depends on users some hate WinMo u know. But the hardware and the build is currently the best IMO)

X10 is android based and N900 is Linux based. these 3 devices are very high end so i think now it all comes to you. Do u really wanna give WinMo one more try? (from a review: This is a phone which will make me wanna use WinMo again) or u wanna try other open sourced platform, both X10 and N900.

Also, SE X1 was made by HTC so i dunno whether X10 is also made by HTC also.

Personally i love my HD2 alot and it is by far the best WinMo device i have played with during the period when i worked for PDA expert.

Hope this helps icon_rolleyes.gif

yeah to auto disable spelling.. i already did it in setting but it still appearing.. n im having hard time getting use to the keyboard.. it seems too sensitive for me..
*
i think they purposely disable it while you type your webpage.. coz some webpages don't have those words in the dictionary

Hi Evilpuppy, which rom are you using? Yours seems to be a different rom.

I tried to go to my bluetooth path also, but can't seem to enable my HD2 to be detectable by others
*
we are all using the same ROM. just that you didnt get into that settings. go to.settings. choose all.settings on.the bottom right. choose connections and you will see your Bluetooth settings there, then you an follow the steps stated on the above post.

I haven't tried this phone yet but is the capacitive screen comparable to iPhone? I'm using the HTC Touch Pro 2 now and most of the time it doesn't understand my finger sad.gif The response is a far worse than the iPhone too.
*
better than iphone.. mainly because of the screen size.. after using my HD2, iphone has no competition to the HD2's screen
as well as the sensitivity

My main grouse about this HD2 is the sensitivity of the screen especially on keyboard input. My "skills " at the input has improved considerably but still make slipups - I really missed the stylus input. So I ordered a Iphone stylus and will be getting it next 2-3 days - it will definately reduce the keys input errors

HTC has their official capacitive stylus.. how much did u pay?

NO it will not unless you have other programs installed that will auto update .

For example Some of the 3rd party programs  that will do this are : SpB News, SpB Traveller, Omega 1 Calc, Currency Converters, Stock update programs . You will have to check all your installed programs and disable all the auto refresh functions

Added on November 30, 2009, 9:58 pmNow that I have got myself a htc HD2 - i wish to sell off my TP2 ; bought it 9 Oct 09. It is just a simple straight metal rod with 2 soft end ( 10 cm long and about 0.5 cm diameter ) . For touch usage on the HD2 this is only my last resort to use for ONLY keyinput . Nothing beats the finger swiping/press for other purposes

what after sales service they provide?

i recommend PDA Expert, worked there before so i know how they work. They give u a bunch of software while u purchase and will explain how do they work if u have problem with them. also, They would help u if u are a complete noob on WinMo. i have experienced this before.. go visit PDA Expert Mid Valley . rclxms.gif

Why do you all need to apply a screen protector onto the HD2. Reduce screen sensitivity or just to protect the screen? If it is to protect the screen, save your $$$$ and watch THISshocking.gif
*
it is for precaution, you would never know when would u scratch your screen, once it is scratched, that's it, no replacement unless u pay.
it is like buying an insurance, so for about RM10 for an insurance i think that is a very good deal

Just a few weeks after its release, the HTC HD2 will shortly receive an official ROM Update from HTC. The updates are not yet available on HTC's support page but have been leaked and made available to the public via HTCPedia.

So far, after initial feedback, it seems that the new ROM brings a newer build of Windows Phone 6.5 (original WWE ROM 1.43 was 21864, the new 1.48 ROM to be released is 21869). Also, HTC Sense has been updated to 1921 from 1920.

Another important aspect: after preliminary testing, users report that the Pink Spot Syndrome has been fixed and no longer affecting the device.

Make sure to check the HTC website and its support section in the next couple of days in case you want to wait untill it's released there.

Looks like we finally got a solution...

no, i mean i want to use the power/charger cable to power on the hd2.
same as your laptop... you take out the battery and power on it by using the power supply.

anyone tried before?
i dun think that it is a very good idea where u take out the battery and use the AC supply to power your phone, it damages your phone if i am not mistaken, i get what u mean and i tried that on the HP iPaq 612c last time. I think it is because that the current going directly to your phone is kinda excessive and with the battery, it acts like a resister and lower the current into the device.

Sifu out there...

If I get my phone, any suggestion what to install before using the phone? Especially to solve the sms problem....
*
depends on what do u need and what do u usually do.. for the SMS problem, there's a solution which u install a cab file to disable HTC msg and use the original WM 6.5 threaded SMS which won't cost the lag.
