Im wondering if we can prescribe both Augmentin & Ciprofloxacin at the same time? I see no interactions b/w dis two in the BNF. They act differently dun they?

Thanks for the valuable information provided. biggrin.gif Im currently undergoing training in a Pharmacy. Came across this prescription so prompted by my pharmacist. My frenz & I do not have the ans to it.
Ya they are both from the different groups. However, both are broad spectrum antibiotics. But, why would Dr prescribe these two together? Cuz we seldom see prescriptions for 2 Antibiotics at the same time. So, anyone has any idea what is the likely infection of the patient dat require these combination?
I jus hate Antibiotics. They are so complicated!
