Im wondering if we can prescribe both Augmentin & Ciprofloxacin at the same time? I see no interactions b/w dis two in the BNF. They act differently dun they?

Interactions, none that I know of. But Ciprofloxacin and Augmentin's spectrum mostly overlap, hence I don't see the need to give both antibiotics together. If the doctor really wanna go wide to cover everything, adding Gentamicin to Augmentin might be better to cover gram -ve organisms. What is the diagnosis or impression of the patient in the first place?
