I also become omnia user since last month

Omnia, great Windows Mobile phone.. Can run Ubuntu, Android still in progress..


I need help from all omnians.. I can't install Microsoft .NET framework (NET CF3.5) I got message Error during intallation..

my ROM version

PDA : i900DXID1/DXID1
PHONE : i900DXIA2

thnks bro.. can you tell me which part in registry to edit..

I try to install .NET CF v2.0 = success.

I've follow the instruction (like 1st page at this posting) to install .NET CF v3.5 to my i900 omnia but error msg "Installation error. Stop all applications and processes, maximize available storage space, and run installation again. Support info: 2".

Finally I've success installing .NET v2.0 & v3.5 after delete all string in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETCompactFramework using PHM Registry Editor.

Sadly I don't backup the original registry, after soft reset, I got error msg "File or assembly name 'Microsoft.WindowsMobile.Utilities, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35', or one of its dependencies, was not found"

after HIT the QUIT box,

AND THIS msg appear ".NET CF Initialization Error. The application failed to load required components. If the .NET Compact Framework is installed on a storage card, please ensure that this card is in place and launch the application again. If this fails, a re-installation of the .NET Compact Framework is recommended. Support info: -2147479552 (80001000)

I try to soft reset again & these msg still appear.

Hard Reset Done!

How to Change Setting back

1. When press StartMenu (Windows icon at top left, jump to Program) I dont want taskbar Program, Setting & recent open application
2. before I perform Hard Reset, my device auto lock If not use for some sec. now the Slide to unlock button gone..

Reason I buy this Omnia bcoz to replace my previous Nokia 6600 @ Sabun.. I always need to charge that phone every morning and evening.. That phone 'kong', not the battery (transfer to another phone, the battery power can last longer)..

But some of my friend shock when know I'm Omnia user..

Why don't you buy Iphone?
my answer : too many people used Iphone. I like Windows Phones..

Wah, that brand new model Samsung touchscreen hphone..
my answer : not. This is Omnia I. Now have Omnia II and Samsung Wave.

Why don't you buy Omnia II?
my answer : I like Omnia I design very much. It look simple, clean!
