wrong section ... u should post this at Technical Support section ...

However, its happened to me also, i just restart my PC n i can start download as normal again. Im using IDM n Kaspersky as my anti-virus software ... i suspect my KAV started to scan the PC after it's updated the database n making the HDD busy thus IDM cant save the files to HDD or im doing anything that making my HDD busy.

It could be due to you clearing your browser cookies.

Try to login again into rapidshare using IE and all other browsers that you use.

Once login, do not logout. Then restart your download manager again and see if this works.

Sometimes the cookies expire or you cleared your cookies which causes the download manager unable to get the needed cookies for rapidshare.

Correct me if I am wrong but for free user you cannot use any download manager, it will stop half way downloading. My best software to download those files from rapidshare will be FreeRapid Downloader, not only it support resume, but you can put a queue list of all rapidshare link and it will download one by one itself. Just copy the link to the clipboard then it will detect. Try it!

From my personal experience, this could be due to packet loss. Try to ping the site you're downloading from and see if there's any packet loss.

Ok friend..... I didn't say anybody right or wrong.....
Just want to give my experience & suggestions.

1. Free User
- U still can use download manager to download file from rapidshare, megaupload & etc, becoz, I have already download lots of season of CSI Miami & Chuck from rapidshare using IDM.
- If u feel that u r bit lazy to click on download button on rapidshare every time u wan to download a file, try using "Jdownloader". It is 1 of most good download manager that can support schedule/queue. Just copy & paste the link. It will do the rest. It is similar to IDM.
- Last option that i always use before, after u finish download a file, restart ur modem. This will give u a new IP so it can download more fast. But keep it in ur mind that when u use this way, the user that use ur IP after that might have prob download file.

2. Premium User
- Try use "orbit" downloader. It give good respond & management.
- IDM also can use.
- Got option to choose server to avoid congest.

For ur information, when we download a file from rapidshare, it might come from many server. this server is link to u based on availability of their slot/port, distance from ur pc to that server & many more.
