yes, if you disconnect battery, sure alarm will be trigger.
alternator,maybe. try connect another battery from a car,
to recharge the battery, at least for 30minutes before u restart your engine.

ECU problem? I don't think so... or not TS try disconnect your battery wires for 15minutes+ then reconnect back. (to reset ECU)

at first i thought mine SUV is battery problem also, because when i stop in traffic light it will suddenly jerks and the RPM meter drops to 0, but the car didn't stalls... then until last week, found out it's alternator rosak already... coz me RM750 for a new one ;(
