Guys!!

I need some help... My xbox got hit by 3rrod problem.. the symptom is:

1) Hangs after 30-60 mins of playing time
2) 3 red light appear after restart
3) Cant start at all - and the eye keep blinking
4) But then can start - but then hang again

*NO ERROR CODE TO SHARE - COZ THE ERROR CODE DONT APPEAR AT ALL WHEN HANG/3 RED LIGHT


I have 3 option.. i need some advice

1) DIY repair - 80% not confindent
2) Tech 2 - RM350-RM400 repair.. is it worth it??
3) Gamers solution - RM100.. How long does it will hold??

id suggest either 2 or 3 or if u can claim warranty go for it ...

but i prefer option 3.. coz cheaper, is anyone here got any chances repairing wit gamers solution b4.. how reliable the repair is..

IMHO better switch to Jasper model.Some more Jasper is very secured from rrod and less power consumption.Instead of trying to repair it which is only will bring back uncle rrod again why not save up your money and fund for the new 360.I heard that Arcade is cost about rm1100+.Heck you can still use your old falcon hdd.

yup...the 3rrod akan menghantui anda kembali.....mmmmm...lekas2 la bertukar kpd jasper...bro punyer set to 2nd punyer ke...jgn jadi cam aku ...ingat nak murah beli 2nd punye...pastu kena 3rrod....bdk yg jual set 2nd tu beriya2 ckp 3rrod leh repair.....xbox ni kalo dah kena banyak kali 3rrod sampai satu tahap tu ko punyer gpu tak akan dapat di repair lagi...kalo boleh pun memakan belanja yg banyak....sbb2 aku bertukar pd jasper set..hahahahah

My advice is maybe try to Change Jasper Set
Cause after the repair for 3RROD problem will came back later ..

No point to waste the Repair Cost
Now Market price around 1k to 1.5k

try checking out tech2 reballing fix... its a permanent fix cos his using leaded BGA. u can DIY with a heatgun will not last long also. 6 months first round, then its coming back every month till the solder ball breaks

better buy new one tech2 offer arcade set just 950..if not mistaken

Go for Tech2, IMHO their fix is the only one that can provide some form of a long term solution. I've tried both option 2 and 3. Gamers solution's fix didn't really fix anything (they did warn me that their fix is not permanent though), took it to Tech2, has lasted over a year already with no issues whatsoever save for the sped up super noisy fan which provides better cooling, but hey, at least no more 3ROD. IMHO, Tech 2's fix was worth every sen.

ya because tech2 is using leaded soldering. its supposed to keep the solder from oxidizing and cracking.
by the way Jasper set is likely to last 3-4 yrs from M$ expectation, similiar with PS3. Bewarned it is still using lead free soldering.
