Yea i been considering between 5530 and 5800 coz 5530 looks nicer but i didnt regret of my choice in the end. I am satisfied with almost everything except camera and slow abit XD

The only thing sux is almost everyone have 5800 T_T

1) It's pretty fast. Doesn't hangs much...except if you use Garmin and try to multitask. Other apps ok.
2) Camera is below average. Video is good enough with 30 fps. Very smooth. Better than my digicam.
3) GPS is great. No need to use A-GPS. Lock in 2-3 minutes.
4) Great.
5) Unbeatable.

U cant compare price with standalone GPS la bro.. standalone GPS is much-much better than 5800's GPS..

Whats the difference between a-gps and gps? a-gps u got to pay everytime u use? I like movies. What movies can u watch on it? Full or just the trailer?
Glad to see u all like this product. Will definately try it out. Will overlook the camera quality. Now, where to get the best price for it. Then can join u guys and gals.

basicly a gps u connect to internet to get a lockon but digi will charge 10cent eash time u use it i think.

U can watch full movie but u will nid to convert to certain parameters such as the resolution in order to be played in the tube

what i meant was it's a bargain when u consider the gps function in it...
u can save 500 for gps....
so its like another 500 for thephone function...with wifi, camera, video call...
price is unbeatable, dun think there's any phone that is capable of doing what 5800 can do at the same price
that's the reason y so many ppl is using it

camera quality can be increased to 100% if u know how to h4x it. Haven't really try it yet, but ppl say the quality is better since the original best quality was just about 75% from a perfect level

plus : i use celcom postpaid + 3g data plan package.

Camera quality, i will overlook.Dont dare to tinker with it. Saw some sample on the web, its ok. Its sharp but the color a bit off. Not so vibrant. Indoor seems good.Think the flash is stronger with this phone. Nightshot, i dont expect it to be any good cause some compact camera also not good.

Yea it most prolly will kacau the warranty. But i wonder we can just attach and detach it easily or not. If can, then i think its not a prob XD Dun dare try though coz heard someone broke that plastic cover b4. Not to mention dust and etc reaching the inner lens after removing it.

They are saying that the cover was made from some not-so-good material that will afffect the light transmitting thru it. And just finished studying material engineering myself, i found that it makes absolute sense in that manner. Nid someone well versed in photography to shed light on this

I am using d campus. Hahha 1 cent per kb. Max at RM30 a month. Means its unlimited just for rm30 a month XD But its edge though. Very slow lol. Good enuff for some msn-ing and email checking.

yeah, there's another forum which discuss on how to improve the 5800 camera quality which is eventually it can be improved, a lot! The forumer said whenever he snap a picture without the backcover of the phone, the picture quality become great. So by that, he conclude that the plastic that used to cover the camera lens is the things that make the quality of the pictures worse.

so, there're few other forumers on that forum is trying to get rid the plastic that cover the lens and replace it with glass. but i don't know how far the progress go currently.

yea exactly. If it doesnt affect my warranty and it works, i certainly going for it XD.

did u guys know how to setup the connection which make it always connect to wifi for browsing? coz sometimes when the wifi signal is low, then it'll automatically connect to 3g connection, which can cost me a bomb.

By h4cking it and apply the patch, the picture quality will be slightly better only.. the patch has something to do with the compression.. so by reducing the compression.. picture quality will be better and so is the picture file size too.

Just buy an AP back cover la bro.. i bought AP back cover and i just drill a hole at the plastic cover..

U cant just detach it as the plastic cover and the LED cover is one piece.. so if you remove the plastic cover the LED will cause the picture to be overexpose or something.. and if you just drill a hole where the lens is located.. the dust won't go in IINM as there's a pad around the lens area..

@aishiteru_suki : nice solution. u use auto drill or just the old kemahiran hidup manual drill? what size ?

automatic hand drill.. drill bits 4.8mm in diameter.. i borrowed from my campus manufacturing lab you ought to have a steady hand though.. i did not hold properly and it scratches my plastic cover a bit.. and make sure you clamp the back cover properly as well.. ow well.. do it at your own risk..

p/s: the plastic cover is a bit tough.. so may takes few seconds to make a hole out of it..
