Yes, i believe it is called A-GPS which will use your GPRS/3G data to grab the GPS information. So yes, it incur charges.

we do have agps AND network based positioning. both has charges but from my experience network based tends to drain a lot more. aspire can confirm with this too.

i dont know the rates for it. but agps roughly 5kb per lock.

MFM got many POIs. even pasar malam one also got. custom map also available from them. just go to their site. it's pretty staright forward. all stuff comes with installation guide.

NOTE: this POI only marked the spot (speedtrap/pasar malam/red light camera), NOT detecting it.

I used it, it is not that bad, although the maps are not that friendly. but it works just fine.

OVI maps (fomerly Nokia Maps) is free for viewing/browsing but for navigation, you need to subscribe to their service. meaning recurring charges unlike garmin only one time charges.

you choose which custome POI you want. its in garmin setting. like others said, maybe you wont need it now but who knows it may come in handy.

To those have missing icons on your shortcut bar, you can recover it back without hard reseting your 5800.

just direct to c:\private\10202BE9\persists\ and delete 10275102.cre and restart.

your 5800 should hang in the blank homescreen. this is because it is recreating the deleted file which may be corrupted.
later a while, your homescreen shortcut should reappear and working fine.

Well, this only happen if hack is installed .

Reply: the thing is I don hav private file in c drive - -!

You've been out too long. Newer batch does not support tv output (confirmed by e_trade_pj) due to nokia approach on cutting production cost.

Last week (or 2 weeks), new batches comes back with tv output after nokia sales dropped (confirmed by e_trade_pj).

maybe you installed some apps in phone memory. even if you dont, some apps do tend do keep some files in phone memory. you can browse system files. try y-browser.

the thing with ybrowser is, you cannot copy/move folders. for this, you should use x-plore. much much more flexible.i
if still want to stick with ybrowser then, you have to manually create those folder prior to copying.

get your dev cert. the cause of certificate error is because the software need to be sign with your own dev cert.

most apps will still available provided they installed on memory card. but your setting such as they way you organize apps might not be restored back. if they apps store data in phone memory (e.g high score) then it is lost too.
