Updated my post on "how to hack your tube" in page 86, TS you can put it in FP now...
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=29482529

--------------------------------

BTW, i can't find a sticker or whatsoever in my tube box, stating "no tv-out support". And whenever i plug in a earphone or what (non-nokia) there will be a list coming out to choose, there's TV out function there.

I hope it can support though... Anyone can borrow me tv-out cable XD

Ahhhh just downloaded Gravity (app for twitter), the kinetic scrolling is soooo smooth and I really hope can play it everyday in menu and messages/music player etc... haizzzzz

EDIT:
News on september 09:

QUOTE
Nokia N97 and 5800 to finally get kinetic scrolling, as firmware 2.0 gets videoed

Finally! One of the biggest complaints with the Nokia 5800, N97 and all other touchscreen products has been the lack of kinetic scrolling, and the Finnish giant is all set to address that.

At the annual Nokia World mega-event in Stuttgart, Germany – where the company has already announced a new iPhone-killer with capacitive touchscreen and launched the N97 Mini – Mark Guim of The Nokia Blog got a spokesperson to show off the new firmware 2.0 update for the Symbian S60 5th edition platform for touchscreen phones, and caught it all on video.

We strongly recommend you watch the whole thing, but otherwise, here are the salient points:

1. Better kinetic scrolling: First off, we are overjoyed to see that the update brings kinetic scrolling to Nokia’s line-up. Swiping your finger up or down to have your contact list roll over was one of the iPhone’s coolest features, but had not been incorporated in the S60 so far. But firmware 2.0 fixes that and brings kinetic scrolling to all possible interfaces, including contact list, apps menu, music player, etc.

2. Reduced memory usage: The other big improvement is the reduction of memory usage. The S60 5th edition has been heavily criticised by reviewers and users for taking up too much onboard storage space, thus reducing the ability to add essential applications. The Nokia spokesperson in the video says that the new update fixes this by reducing memory usage by a whopping 25-30MB!

3. New and updated apps: Speaking of applications, firmware 2.0 will also bring a few new additions to the Nokia Apps, such as CNN Video, ESPN Soccer, etc. and also update existing apps such as the Facebook one.

4. Sluggish performance persists: What the new update doesn’t seem to fix, though, is the sluggish performance at times. The phone still looked visibly slow when the spokesperson was starting up the music player. Perhaps the only hope on that front for Nokia fans is Maemo 5.

The Nokia spokesperson said that the new firmware 2.0 update is expected be available to all Nokia touchscreen phones in October, downloadable directly through the software update client.

Since someone from nokia had spoken about the firmware 2.0, so i think we should just wait for it?
But now it's already end of october, they didn't do what they promised... But n97 already have KS right?

N97 was nokia's "flagship" model, but firmware 2.0 also not yet release. I know they will be releasing N900 which is more "flagship" than n97, but n97 is still very hot out there (same like our tube) so they should release the fw 2.0 beh...

No point changing my phone to 5530, I just bought my tube few weeks ago and I won't sacrifice GPS and 3G for kinetic scrolling... (and bigger screen)

Not fair not fair T.T Nokia 5800 sold more than n97, why we are the ones who are not getting KS T.T

Anyone wants to email nokia to ask them to clarify about KS for 5800?

For those in need of KS type for time being can try the Kynetix Rock n Scroll .. its a 3rd party KS similar application which makes N5800 scrollable as u need, even SHAKE !

Cheers !

I tried it... But it's just scrolling when i shake or tilt my phone, not kinetic scrolling though...

I have a sad case here...
The stylus of my tube can scratch my matte screen protector. I noticed 2 lines of scratches on my screen but I thought I scratched it when I put my tube in my pocket.

BUT, it's not. Few days later when I surf wifi and use the stylus, i SAW it SCRATCHING my screen protector, and a small particle (dunno is particle of the stylus or screen protector) fall out, seems like one drop of fine sand/powder. And my screen protector is scratched again. Shyt.

Now im thinking whether to get the N97 stylus or not... will it scratch?

the exact same thing happened to me..
I was using the stylus and was surfing the web when the screen got scratched..
and it still happened though i'm now using an n97 stylus..
so nowadays,i usually wipe my screen and the edge of the stylus before using it on the screen to prevent it from getting scratched again.. biggrin.gif

I tried this:
Just create a folder 'fonts' in e:resource, then only paste S60ZDIGI.ttf instead of all 4 files (i used calibri bold font, and it ended up with 5800 font, dunno why. Maybe u can try using calibri bold font too. It works for me.
