Question change

went Senq today and when comparing P42S10 and L42S10, i am quite surprising LCD 42S10 quality is same like plasma and its brighter (maybe is setting prob), and i quite satisfy for both quality

which one to choose ? Plasma or LCD ?



My usage of this tv is just for (8tv, NTV7 )purpose, not for gaming or DVD movie...

and dont suggest me to buy CRT

X10 is good

X10 the price is quite attracting

i don't study about other brand, so i only know about panasonic ...

Full HD doesnt mean anything to me as i wont nid it (i guess ?) bcos just using to see tv show...

please, dont buy plasma, can be very harmful and dangerous... the gas can leak, very poisonous...

invest in lcd or led...

The amount of gas is very negligible!
Moreover the gases used are INERT!
There are more volume of gases coming out of your ass and is lot more dangerous from the plasma TV.

Pioneer.....nice brand!

You see all those rice uncles, all use Plasma.

You don't see any of them changing gas they change tv

I find reading some of the comments here really funny. A quick run through for the uninitiated, Plasma Screens are "gas powered" while LCD screens are "liquid powered". Neither would leak nor evaporate unless the screen panel is breached through BFT (blunt force trauma) or cracked. In the event it does happen, your home (or where ever your plasma or LCD is located) need not be declared an unsafe chemical spill/leakage zone

Panasonic also have the 42C10.

The difference is Cosmetic, surround-sound simulation, 2 instead of 3 HDMI.
I'm not sure abt AR (anti reflective) filter.

Both use same G12 panel so do some homework and window shopping if the C10 fits your needs and must be significantly lesser price

3 HDMI is better, to be safe.

In the near future, most equipment will be using HDMI anyway

3 HDMI is not enough today. Got PS3, Xbox360, DVD player, and WDTV. sigh

Get an AVR with loads of HDMI inputs then

Currently...he needs 0 HDMI ports as the Plasma will be use to watch TV..so C10 should fit the bill nicely..but in future....thats another thing to take note...my take....get the S10ler...

Having seen both c10 and x10 side by side from near to 8ft away, I can't tell the difference in PQ. If price is your main concern for now, get the one the cheaper.

I personally would suggest s10, like azbro said.

Astro and soon to be TMNuts FTTH (Fibertothehome) will go HD...probably 720p or 1080i....that one CAN tell the difference between HDTV and SDTV

my suggestion for u, stick with CRT

your search for plasma.....so better grab full hd.....now panasonic come with the good price tag....specially for s10k

Based on his RM2500 budget and the fact that it is meant for his mum to watch TV/Astro, X10k would be the better alternative

agree with you.. if watch astro and no budget, just settle for a decent brand 29" CRT flatscreen.. after all it match the astro ratio of 4:3.. no need the hassle of stretching the picture to 16:9

Then his mum won't complain, "chai ah chai, why the people all so fat looking one ah?"

mayb u can consider extra rm500(20% extra) for 42s10 for FULLHD,for future usage. u might not need it now,mayb 1 year from now,who knows u might need it for,mayb for gaming or bluray or others. cheers
