I think those CS won't be able to answer or may lie to you so that you can continue to spend more....
You should only spend RM1000 per month on AMEX to get the 15% rebate which will appear on your bill after 4-6 weeks.

For me, Amex/TM took about 1 month to approve the Express Autopay, while my DiGi needed 1.5 months. You need to settle all outstanding of your bills in full before the Express Autopay can take effect.


I think the chance of getting cash back could be slim if you spend after end of December 09.

The bank giving me issues with CS right now is Amex [prob because I've shifted all my spending to it and have had to call them a couple of times in the last 3 weeks]. And by "bad CS" it only means I have to wait really really long before someone attends to my call; in terms of temporary CL I think it's much better than Citibank

Ah well.. anyhow, I've surpassed the CL given to me once again [wOOhOooo I'm on target to redeem that Tag Heuer watch!] and have just requested the bank to increase my CL by 100%; let's see if they'll say yes to that request

I didn't reduce my CL - I just used it all up lah. I'm probably going to keep the Amex but am still waiting to see if the bank will offer to pay the RM50 on my behalf.

on my last weekend trip to Penang, i pumped full petrol in KL for about RM34.

then when we reached at Taiping, i pumped again for RM30.

on the next day, MBB Amex called me to verify on the 2 petrol expenses i done in 1 night.

but on my way back to KL, i pumped another RM30 in highway and another RM34 in KL and until today i did not get any call from MBB Amex.

Amex charge card suits you best as there is limitless spending and you don't need to keep begging Amex increasing your CL!

She wants free-for-life card plus is taking advantage of the no-interest until 31 Dec 2009 offer

I never receive such call before with my MBB Petronas or MBB Ikhwan AMEX. I always do when I drive back to KL

they call you because suddenly there is transaction out of KL.. maybe before this, you only use the card in KL.. suddenly, there is transaction out of KL, and they feel suspicious.. after they get clarification from you, they will accept it as normal transaction.. i also happen to receive call like this before..

Some banks know your spending pattern and they don't even bother to call you and verify!

The max cap @ RM150 per month is calculate base on calendar month (Max RM150 for 1st Nov to 30 Nov) or monthly credit card date cycle? (Max RM150 for 3rd Nov to 3rd Dec)??
